NEWLY BRANDED MARKETING AND SALES MATERIALS   
Overview of the Redesign Process  

 

Over the years, Comfort Keepers® has amassed dozens of brochures and we have spent the last six months reviewing the usage and redesigning only those pieces that have proved valuable to you in your sales and marketing efforts. But there is still a lot of material to redesign! Consequently, we will introduce the new materials in a phased manner with those pieces used most frequently rolled out first. Please look at availability dated for each item. We want to make the items available as they are finalized; therefore, there are various dates of availability.

As we make the new materials available, it is NOT necessary to immediately destroy existing inventory that has the older style logo and font unless you choose to. However, effective immediately, any items listed below will no longer be available in the old design, nor will CKFI make changes to any materials using the older style logo, fonts and colors. In the spirit of brand consistency, your marketing and sales literature should be fully transitioned to the new materials in no more than six (6) months.

As pieces are available with the new logo, they will be posted on a new tab on CK Brand > NEW Branding.

WHAT WILL YOU NOTICE THAT IS NEW?

You market to and service different markets with different needs. Therefore, the message should be massaged to be more relevant to the target. In the upper-left corner of the literature, you will see an icon and small title which identifies the intended target audience. Based on feedback from you, our goal was to create an easily implemented system of literature that is appropriate for your various audiences.


We have reduced the copy by approximately 40% in most pieces because what impacts consumers the most is the photography. Research supports depicting joyous situations with a client and Comfort Keeper® interacting - it strikes a positive chord with the adult child. We are telling our story with more emotional images and fewer words.

The primary brochures have fewer panels and fold differently. As soon as readers open a brochure - the services are right in front of them so they know immediately that Comfort Keepers can help.


LITERATURE/BROCHURES - Phase 1 Available October 18th
Due to the numerous pieces needing redesigned, these materials will roll-out in phases based on popularity and order history. Phase 1 of the newly designed sales and marketing brochure system will be available to order on
October 18.

These materials can be ordered Friday, October 18th on a print on demand bases from ThinkPatented. Phase 2 and 3 materials will be announced in the very near future.

 
FORMS and STATIONERY - Available October 11th

All forms will be updated at Holmes with new font and logo and available to order October 11th. To order forms and stationery visit Holmes.
 
The letterhead and envelope will be updated with the new design and available for on-demand printing on October 11th or start using this electronic letterhead that can be customized with your specific address and used in email and local printing.

The business cards will also be available October 11th. There are two templates for the front of the cards - one with the ability to include a photo and a second without a photo. Also, there are two options for the back of each business card - one with our new company tag and url, and one with the option to list up to 8 services offered by location.

PRINT ADS - Now Available

Several ads are updated, including Veterans Ads (Veterans Day is November 11th) and Yellow Page ads which can be viewed on CK Brand > NEW Branding > Print Ads. Look to future Friday Flash as new Ad creative will be introduced.

 
LOGOS - Now Available

The new logos are available for download in multiple versions and file formats, Visit CK Brand > NEW Branding > Logos to download.
 
PHOTOGRAPHY - Now Available

Updated photography, including stills from the TV shoot are now available for download. Visit > NEW Branding > Photography to download.
 
BRAND GUIDELINES - Now Available

The brand guidelines have been updated with the new logo, colors and font and you can download an abridged version at CK Brand > NEW Branding > Abridged Standards.
 
MULTIMEDIA BRAND ASSETS - Now Available

You will often hear clips from the commercials referred to as "B-Roll." B-Roll is often incorporated in videos or may be included in local commercial production. It does not have voice over or graphics, it's simply scenes from the commercial that depict the caregiver and the loved one in various domestic activities. NOTE: If you are producing anything locally, it MUST be reviewed and approved by the CKFI Marketing Department. We are building an international brand and we must communicate with one voice.

The music score from the TV commercials belongs to Comfort Keepers and may be downloaded for your local use at CK Brand > NEW Branding > TV Assets.

Commercial TV Spots - Coming Soon! Many of you have asked how to buy the new spots to run in your local market. We are developing a new process for ordering and execution. More info coming in next week's Friday Flash

Apparel and Premiums CLEARANCE - Sale Starting October 11th 

In order to make room for the new logo'd materials, we are conducting a clearance sale for a limited time on any remaining apparel and premiums inventory that have the older style logo. Keep in mind, there is no retirement date for these materials - it is at the franchisee's discretion. These sale items will be offered at 50% off their list price! This is a first come/first serve sale and once inventory is gone, it will not be replenished.
 
This sale starts October 11th and is ONLY available for items with the older logo. You will need a promotion code to get the discount. This code will be published in next week's edition of Friday Flash.

AVAILABILITY OF NEW LOGO'D APPAREL AND PREMIUMS  
Roll-out in a Phased Approach  

Items with the new logo will be rolled out in a phased approached, based on order popularity. A new section has been created on Proforma.com/CK website called "New Logo Items". As items are available to order, they will be placed on this section of the website.    There are several items already available to order so check it out and check back often!

Additionally, we are excited to announce a new "Back-Ordering System" will launch on October 11th for all items not on clearance. This will allow you to place your order even if there is no immediate inventory to fulfill the order. A note will appear during your order indicting that there will be a delay to your shipment due to the back order.To visit PROforma click here.

Is Your Office Listed on Google Places?

 

Wouldn't it be great if there were a way to make it easier for customers to find your office? There is. Part of the National Advertising initiative includes a FREE Google Places listing for all local offices. We will submit our list to our agency partner, who will in turn submit it to Google, and create a Google Place for each location. This will help consumers find you when they are trying to find your specific office, and it will help with the overall SEO of your website!

To create a new location in their system, an office has to have a unique physical address and phone number. For multi-unit owners that are covering multiple territories from one central office, you'll need to have a different phone number for each of the markets that you serve. We have put together a listing of all the offices, in the proper format, and have posted it to Members for review. Please take a moment to review your office(s) information on this spreadsheet.

If you wish to change anything on that list, please communicate your requested changes in writing by sending an e-mail to ShaunWorcester@Comfortkeepers.com. Please communicate any necessary updates to Shaun by Thursday, 10/17. We'll be submitting the list on Friday, the 18th.

What's Your Policy?

 

The flu season is upon us! Do you have a plan in place to keep your staff and clients healthy and flu free this year?

Prevention is the key.

According to the CDC, the best way to prevent the flu is by getting a flu vaccine each year. The CDC recommends that everyone 6 months and older should receive the vaccine.

Many states are implementing regulations regarding direct care staff and vaccination requirements for Home Care Workers. Additionally, seasonal flu vaccinations are a requirement for employment in acute care settings across the country.

Now is the time to implement a prevention policy. Not only will it benefit your productivity by decreasing staff illness and missed work, but it will ultimately help keep your clients well during the flu season.

It is recommended that the flu vaccination begin as soon as it's available in October. In the US the peak of flu season is usually in January and February. You can still benefit from the vaccination even when you receive it later in the flu season.

Getting your flu vaccine has never been easier. Many locations including the health department, pharmacies, department stores, schools, urgent care clinics, employers and your doctor's office offer the vaccine at a low price. According to the CDC, this year's vaccine will protect you from four different virus strains. Frequent hand washing and maintaining a clean environment are essential in helping to prevent the spread of the infection as well.

Why You Should List Them On Your Website

  

Are you missing out on finding qualified job candidates by not listing your positions on the appropriate channels and on your comfortkeepers.com website? As more franchisees are using eRSP, Appointmate, Hyrell, and other options for online job postings, we've seen a drop in the number of job postings on the website. We would like to encourage you to list positions you are looking to fill on your comfortkeepers.com website.

We receive hundreds of visits per day to the employment pages on the national website. And job seekers are using this page to find jobs across the country. If someone in your area heard about Comfort Keepers, went to the website and searched for jobs... would they find yours?

We understand the burden of keeping the job postings current on two different locations. But we believe that by not posting your jobs on ComfortKeepers.com, you may be missing out on some qualified candidates.
