Norma's Weekly Member Snapshot:
Everything outdoors is better in the summer...with all the options for eating, drinking, exercising, and taking in live music, calendars are easily filled with activities. Watching movies on lawns under the stars is a favorite pastime of mine and is always a seasonal tradition for Manhattanites.
This week's Special Feature, Outdoor Flicks, highlights the opportunities to enjoy the fresh air with friends while seeing some old and new movie favorites. I've even included my picks for each summer series and the best places to grab your picnic feast.

Bright Star Through October 9 Cort Theatre (138 West 48th Street) I have followed Steve Martin's career as an actor and banjo player for many years. I'm delighted that he has expanded his talents as the songwriter of this musical (with Edie Brickell's talents at work also). As he said in an interview, he wanted to create music that would be an anthem to optimism, writing songs that would bring joy to the audience.
