Kelli Bullard Dunn, M.D. (ELAM '13), was appointed Vice Dean, Community Engagement and Diversity at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, effective March 1, 2015.
Joanne M. Jordan, M.D., M.P.H.,(ELAM '10) has been appointed Executive Associate Dean for Faculty Affairs and Leadership Development at University of North Carolina School of Medicine, effective April 15, 2015.
The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH), of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), has selected Sarah Hollingsworth Lisanby, M.D. (ELAM '09) as the director for its Division of Translational Research. She will join NIMH in the fall, pending final NIH approval.
Melissa A. Simon, M.D., M.P.H (ELAM '14) Launched a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) from April 13th through May 21st . It is the world's first, free healthcare workforce development program that is on a global platform. As of the date of this publication, more than 5,600 students have enrolled from some 150 countries. Find out more information here.

In this Huffington Post article reviews the progression that Ancestry.com has made in medical research. For about three years, the company has been collecting and analyzing genetic data from customers who volunteer, amassing more than 800,000 samples from around the world. "We want to be the largest personal genomics company on the planet," said Tim Sullivan, Ancestry.com CEO.
