REV. FRANKLIN GRAHAM: 'I WOULD BREAK THE LAW'
Rev. Franklin Graham, son of the globally renowned evangelist Dr. Billy Graham, warned Tuesday that the Obama administration is on the brink of requiring faith-based organizations to hire atheists and others "opposed to everything we believe" - a situation that he says would force him to violate the law rather than compromise his religious convictions.
Graham's concern about the religious freedom of faith-based organizations comes in the context of the president's Obamacare-related decree. It requires all insurance companies to provide free contraception services, including the morning-after pill and sterilizations -even to employees of religious-affiliated organizations that have a moral objection to them.

OBAMA PEDDLES MODEST AMERICAN DREAM
This time around, President Barack Obama's message can sound decidedly down-to-earth.
Four years after winning the White House, Obama is dealing with a different economic and political reality as he seeks re-election. He's focused less on a lofty vision for overcoming divisions and remaking Washington, and more on the most basic building blocks of middle-class economic security: a job, a house, a college education for the kids, health care, money for retirement.

ARE CHRISTIAN RETAILERS A DYING BREED?
I recently watched a presentation by Michael Hyatt, chairman of Thomas Nelson publishers. It seems to be from a few years ago, but in his remarks, Hyatt - a publishing guru if there ever was one - lays out 10 reasons he's still excited about Christian retail.
This refers to those stores out there across this great land of ours, many of whom are struggling in the recession. The truth is, though, they were struggling long before that, as competition from the "big-box" retailers plucked sales away.

Celestina Mba claims that the council she worked for pressured her to work on Sundays and threatened her with disciplinary measures - even though other workers were willing to take the shifts.
The case, to begin at an industrial tribunal tomorrow, comes amid growing concern among Christians at the "marginalisation" of religion in public life, and days after the Queen spoke up for the value of faith and its vital place in British society, while Baroness Warsi, the Conservative party chairman, said a "liberal elite" was attempting to downgrade the importance of religion in public life.

A messianic rabbi from New Jersey is stunning audiences nationwide by revealing the striking parallels between the fall of ancient Israel and what he suggests are God's early judgments of America.

But the patchwork of measures - including the implementation of austerity measures in Greece and approval by skeptical German and Dutch Parliaments - required to give the rescue even a chance of success means it's unlikely to be the end of the continent's debt crisis.
