In addition, you'll meet wonderful, like-minded Christian families from across the nation.
The Film Festival will be held Thursday, February 23rd through Saturday, February 25th at the Gonzalez Convention Center in downtown San Antonio, Texas. The vision Doug Phillips, the founder of the San Antonio Independent Christian Film, wrote, "Henry Van Til correctly observed that "culture is religion externalized." By this, he meant that the culture of a people reflects their true religious priorities. The music, paintings, and film of a nation (not to mention the thousands of daily cultural expressions - how we live, eat, work, and entertain ourselves) express our priorities, our values, and our true faith.
Doug Phillips, the founder, articulates the vision. "The Bible teaches that all men have faith, in that they either worship the creature or they worship the Creator, but no man is free from religious commitment. When a people worship sensuality or embrace dark visions of reality, it is always evidenced in the arts. There is no neutrality! On the other hand, when a nation fears and loves the God of Holy Scripture, their religious commitment is evidenced in the music they play, the way they dress, and their vision of family life. "The fact is that America is discontent with Hollywood's negative, monopolistic stranglehold on film and culture. The humanistic religious worldview of Hollywood elites created a rift in American culture and profoundly damaged the American family. We intend to respond, not by cursing the darkness, but by lighting candles. Building a community of independent Christian filmmakers is one such candle."

SAN ANTONIO WOMAN, WHO KILLED A MOTORIST WHILE DRUNK DRIVING, FOUND GUILTY IN DEATH
Four years after an ambulance crew left Erica Nicole Smith untreated for hours at the scene of a horrific wrong-way crash on Loop 410, jurors decided Monday that intoxicated motorist Jenny Ann Ybarra was to blame for her death.

Ybarra, 32, held her face in her hands and wept as state District Judge Lori Valenzuela read aloud the guilty verdicts for intoxication manslaughter, manslaughter, driving while intoxicated and assault after four hours of jury deliberation.

WHAT DO I DO WITH THE DUDES AT MY DOOR?
HOW TO WITNESS TO THE MORMON CULTISTS
We have all seen the billboards, TV commercials and news articles in the San Antonio area recently regarding Mormonism.
With the possibility of a Mormon President, more people than ever are interested in Mormonism. Is it just another denomination of Christianity or something entirely different?
Join Evidence Ministries to learn what Mormonism really teaches.
On Saturday, February 18th Keith Walker of Evidence Ministries will present a three-hour free seminar at Community Bible Church from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon entitled, "What Do I Do With The Dudes At My Door?"
Mormon missionaries typically travel in male pairs, wearing white shirts, ties & black name badges.
The church is located at Loop 1604 and Gold Canyon, one exit east of 281/1604. The address is 2477 Loop 1604 East, San Antonio, TX 78259.
You will learn how Mormons use the same "Christian vocabulary," but pour entirely different definitions into words like; God, Jesus, Salvation and Repentance. You will be equipped to lovingly respond with the correct attitude when Mormons come knocking on your door. There will be special music and a personal testimony from a former Mormon.
Enter through the front doors of the Community Bible Church sanctuary, turn left and head to CBC Central which will be highlighted by signs to the "Dudes" event.

DAVID LIMBAUGH: PRESIDENT MAGOO
President Obama is nothing if not an incorrigible spendaholic, as his new budget reconfirms in spades. While the nation drowns in debt, Obama wants to buy new expensive Tinkertoys to indulge his utopian fantasies.
Legend has it that prior to embarking on his mission to conquer the known world, Alexander the Great, who had not yet established his greatness, visited the oracle at Delphi seeking a good omen. The oracle was actually a priestess who sat on a stool in the crypt of Apollo's Temple above a fissure in the earth that emitted vapors and put her into a trance, wherein she would channel messages from Apollo.

As politicians in both political parties debate Mitt Romney's role in implementing a 2005 statute requiring Catholic hospitals in Massachusetts to dispense Plan B - an "emergency contraceptive" that studies and the pill's manufacturer have suggested can cause early abortions - a leader in the state's pro-life movement puts the blame squarely on the former governor.
"The injury to the conscience rights of Catholic hospitals was not done so much so much by the church's ideological enemies on the Left but by the Romney administration," C.J. Doyle, executive director of the Catholic Action League, told LifeSiteNews.com. The real harm, he says, came from Romney's private counsel's interpretation of a 1975 law that would have respected their religious views.

At the moment Rick Santorum appears to be overtaking Newt Gingrich as the principal challenger to Mitt Romney. Santorum has won more contests than Gingrich (who has won only one), has more delegates, and leads him in the polls. In at least one poll, he also leads Romney. It isn't yet a Romney-Santorum contest, but it could be headed that way.
We hope so. Gingrich's verbal and intellectual talents should make him a resource for any future Republican president. But it would be a grave mistake for the party to make someone with such poor judgment and persistent unpopularity its presidential nominee. It is not clear whether Gingrich remains in the race because he still believes he could become president next year or because he wants to avenge his wounded pride: an ambiguity that suggests the problem with him as a leader. When he led Santorum in the polls, he urged the Pennsylvanian to leave the race. On his own arguments the proper course for him now is to endorse Santorum and exit.
