BISHOP EDDIE LONG CROWNED KING BY RABBI AFTER SETTLING LAWSUITS WITH FOUR YOUNG MEN HE SEXUALLY ABUSED
Bishop Eddie Long has apologized to the Anti-Defamation League over an incident in which he was wrapped in a Torah scroll and crowned "king."
As shown in a video that went viral, the televangelist was wrapped in a "Holocaust Torah" and crowned king during a recent ceremony at New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, his suburban Atlanta congregation.

"The ceremony was not my suggestion, nor was it my intent, to participate in any ritual that is offensive in any manner to the Jewish community, or any group. Furthermore, I sincerely denounce any action that depicts me as a King, for I am merely just a servant of the Lord," Long wrote in a letter dated Saturday.

AIR FORCE REMOVES 'GOD' FROM LOGO
A Virginia lawmaker is calling on the Air Force to reverse a decision to remove a Latin reference to "God" from a logo after an atheist group complained.
Rep. Randy Forbes, (R-VA), said the Air Force removed the logo several weeks ago from the Rapid Capabilities Office. The patch included a line written in Latin that read, "Doing God's Work with Other People's Money."
But after the Military Association of Atheists and Freethinkers complained, Forbes said the line was rewritten in Latin to read, "Doing Miracles with Other People's Money."

EARTH'S POLAR ICE MELTING LESS THAN THOUGHT
Nearly 230 billion tons of ice is melting into the ocean from glaciers, ice caps, and mountaintops annually-which is actually less than previous estimates, according to new research by scientists at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
If the amount of ice lost between 2003 and 2010 covered the United States, the whole country would be under one-and-a-half feet of water, or it'd fill Lake Erie eight times, researchers say. Ocean levels worldwide are rising about six hundredths of an inch per year, according to researcher John Wahr.

IF PASSED, THE OHIO HEARTBEAT BILL,
COULD LEAD TO ROE V. WADE BEING OVERTURNED
by Janet Folger Porter
The Ohio Heartbeat Bill, which will ensure that "once a heartbeat is detected, the baby is protected," has already passed the Ohio House of Representatives. Now, if just 17 out of 33 Ohio senators say "yes," the Heartbeat Bill will head to Ohio Governor John Kasich's desk to be signed into the most protective law in the nation.
You've heard the slogan, "Abortion stops a beating heart"? When the Heartbeat Bill becomes law, it will ensure that: "A beating heart stops abortion."
Dr. Jack Wilke testified that the Heartbeat Bill will save 95 percent of the babies who would otherwise be aborted - that's 26,000 Ohio babies every year - a school bus full of children every single day!
|
HeartBeat Bill Ohio Pastors Press Conference |
We also have every indication that the current Supreme Court will uphold Ohio's Heartbeat Law. In Gonzales v. Carhart (which upheld the ban on partial-birth abortion), the Supreme Court, after nearly four decades of recognizing only "potential life" in the womb, recognized as an undisputed "finding of fact" that a "living fetus" exists from the time of detectable heartbeat!
What happens in Ohio will affect the nation! Already seven states are lined up to follow Ohio's lead.
Listen to Dr. James Dobson's interview of Janet Folger Porter. The Heartbeat Bill (HB 125) will save 3 Ohio babies from abortion every single hour.
