THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO * President Obama spoke at the national prayer breakfast. The president said that his Christian faith is the driving force behind his economic policies. So I guess instead of blaming Bush, it's now all Jesus' fault.
* Obama said that he says a brief prayer every morning, but then Joe Biden shows up anyway. So I don't know if it would really work.
* Mitt Romney is taking a lot of heat for saying he's not concerned with the very poor. I don't think he helped himself, either. Like today he says he does care about the homeless - especially the summer homeless.
* The House of Representatives has passed a bill that prohibits people from using welfare money in strip clubs or liquor stores. I agree with that. Strip clubs and liquor stores should be off limits for people who get government funds - you know, like congressmen. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LATE SHOW WITH DAVID LETTERMAN
* Everyone has Super Bowl fever. Even Iran announced today that they are enriching guacamole.
* On Super Bowl Sunday, Americans will consume $1 billion worth of snack foods. Who says America has lost its competitive edge?
* What is more American than gathering the family for a full day of watching beer and Viagra commercials?
* Sad news for Mitt Romney. He drove out of Florida with a live gator strapped to the roof of his car. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- TOP SUPER BOWL FUN FACTS
* Before Gatorade, players dumped bouillabaisse on their coaches * This year, every commercial will feature a sneezing monkey * Super Bowl II was played on shag carpeting * No team trailing at the end of the fourth quarter has ever won a Super Bowl * Officials at the first Super Bowl were dressed as Zorro * Every Super Bowl is decided a week in advance by NFL spokesman Greg Aiello * Super Bowl MVP Larry Csonka appeared in the film, "Larry Csonka and the Chocolate Factory" * Mike Ditka is only person to win Super Bowl as a player, coach, and cheerleader * Due to a football shortage, Super Bowl XXXII was played with mangoes ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- THE LATE LATE SHOW WITH CRAIG FERGUSON
* The big reason people love the Super Bowl is the food. It's a big day for eating. People go all out with snacks on Super Bowl Sunday. This year I'm making a replica of the palace of Versailles out of baloney.
* This year's game is expected to be the most watched TV show in history. So remember, car thieves, Sunday night is the best time of year to go to work.
* The Super Bowl halftime show one the most amazing feats of engineering. The crew has less than 20 minutes to deploy a complex system of rigging, cranes, and pulleys. And once they get Madonna in her corset, they have to put up the stage. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON
* Food truck vendors here in Indianapolis have been trained to look for suspicious behavior during Super Bowl weekend. You know, like a truck selling Korean tacos in the middle of Indiana.
* It turns out that the owners of the Patriots and the Giants have each donated $5,000 to President Obama's campaign. Which explains why Fox News is predicting that both teams will lose the Super Bowl. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

On Saturday, February 18th Keith Walker of Evidence Ministries will present a three-hour free seminar at Community Bible Church from 9:00 a.m. to 12 noon entitled, "What Do I Do With The Dudes At My Door?" JOIN THOUSANDS IN SAN ANTONIO FOR THE CHRISTIAN FILM EVENT OF THE YEAR
Thursday, February 23 - Saturday, February 25
Gonzales Convention Center, downtown San Antonio
One of the top highlights of my year is attending the San Antonio Independent Christian Film Festival with my bride Amy. Adam and Amy McManus If you've never brought your family to enjoy some of the 50 God-honoring films of every genre on 4 screens during this 3-day event right in our own backyard, then register today.
You can even view films like Courageous and Seven Days in Utopia. The price is remarkably competitive and worth every dime! Plus, you'll meet wonderful, like-minded Christian families from across the nation.
The Film Festival will be held Thursday, February 23rd through Saturday, February 25th at the Gonzalez Convention Center in downtown San Antonio, Texas. Plus, enjoy dozens of other exciting new Christian dramas, documentaries, comedies, and short films. The vision Henry Van Til correctly observed that "culture is religion externalized." By this, he meant that the culture of a people reflects their true religious priorities. The music, paintings, and film of a nation (not to mention the thousands of daily cultural expressions - how we live, eat, work, and entertain ourselves) express our priorities, our values, and our true faith.
Doug Phillips, the founder, articulates the vision. The Bible teaches that all men have faith, in that they either worship the creature or they worship the Creator, but no man is free from religious commitment. When a people worship sensuality or embrace dark visions of reality, it is always evidenced in the arts. There is no neutrality! On the other hand, when a nation fears and loves the God of Holy Scripture, their religious commitment is evidenced in the music they play, the way they dress, and their vision of family life.
The fact is that America is discontent with Hollywood's negative, monopolistic stranglehold on film and culture. The humanistic religious worldview of Hollywood elites created a rift in American culture and profoundly damaged the American family. We intend to respond, not by cursing the darkness, but by lighting candles. Building a community of independent Christian filmmakers is one such candle. ACTION STEPS FOR ADAM'S ARMY: 1. Learn more detail about the San Antonio Christian Film Festival and Academy. 2. And register here.

In New York City, powerful players in both politics and media are working to ban churches from using public school facilities for their weekend worship and are planning to enforce a Feb. 12 "eviction" notice for dozens of congregations.
"Our view is that public school buildings, which are funded by taxpayers' dollars, should not be used as houses of worship," said Marge Feinberg, spokeswoman for New York City's Department of Education. "Public school space cannot and should not be used for worship services, especially because school space is not equally available to all faiths."

Los Angeles schools Supt. John Deasy told parents Monday evening that the district is replacing the entire staff of Miramonte Elementary School in the wake of the arrests last week of two teachers on lewd conduct charges.
The unprecedented move is intended to build confidence among the many families who have lost faith in their neighborhood elementary school. More than a quarter of students did not show up for classes Monday.
Officials stressed that no one else on the Miramonte staff is under suspicion of wrongdoing but that the chain of events has placed a cloud over the campus that can be lifted only with a drastic response.

ATTENTION SAN ANTONIO AREA HUNTERS: CAN YOU VOLUNTEER ON A CHRISTIAN YOUTH HUNT?
Over the course of my 20-year career as a radio talk show host, I've met and interviewed a lot of fascinating people. Many of them are household names which you would recognize instantly.
Tom Snyder, the 46-year-old owner of the regional Colonial Life Insurance office here in Garden Ridge, has got to be one of the most intriguing people I've met in a long time. He's not famous. He's not a political leader. And he hasn't even written a book.
But he's spearheading a unique Christian ministry in our own backyard whose vision is as big as the Texas sky.
Tom Snyder, founder of Trinity Oaks, teaches a young boy on a Youth Hunt. If you would like to volunteer to be a guide, call 210.447.351. Now that he has become a successful businessman, Tom, a member of River City Community Church here in San Antonio, has a passion to give back to the community - especially to the children in demonstrable, life-changing ways.
That's why he founded Trinity Oaks, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. At the heart of the ministry are the youth hunts for 10 to 16-year-olds. Throughout their time, the young people experience firearms safety instruction, target shooting and actual big game hunting.
In the process, Tom wants to give the tweens and teens access to the great outdoors, to build their character, and to teach them the importance of responsibility in our narcissistic culture.

10 to 16-year-old boys, like the ones pictured above on a Trinity Oaks Youth Hunt develop self-confidence, an appreciation of God's creation and connect with the volunteer hunting guides.
"Our goal with youth is three-fold. First, we want to teach kids that hunting is not just about 'killing animals', but also about building relationships and enjoying God's majestic outdoors. Second, we want to promote our country's hunting heritage to future generations," said Tom Snyder.
"Third and most importantly, we want to show children of all ages that they have value and let them know there are people who care about them, people willing to listen to them and mentor them. We have found you can really reach a child and make a difference in his life just by sitting next to a campfire and listening to what he has to say."
During the 2010/2011 hunting season alone, Tom personally acted as the lead field guide for every one of the 20 youth hunts attended by 85 young people, 53 of whom were first-time hunters. Typically, each hunt is comprised of 3-5 youngsters along with their fathers and some volunteer guides. Each youth is assigned to an adult.
Their goal for the upcoming 2011/2012 hunting season is to have 30 youth hunts attended by 100 kids and 75 first-time children hunters.
Amazingly, Trinity Oaks covers every single expense including the cost of transportation, the lease of the land, the hunting license fees as well as the food, lodging and the mounting of the child's wildgame trophy.
All the meat is processed for free by volunteers, ground up and frozen into family packs. It's then distributed to needy families and homeless shelters throughout San Antonio as well as orphanages in Mexico.
ACTION STEPS FOR ADAM'S ARMY: 1. If you would like to suggest a boy or girl between the ages of 10 and 16 to participate in a future Trinity Oaks youth hunt, please call 210.447.0351, and tell them you are a McManus subscriber, or email.
2. If you would like to volunteer to become a guide or firearms trainer for some of the youth hunts, please call 210.447.0351 and tell them you are a McManus subscriber or e-mail.
3. If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation to Trinity Oaks to ensure that the Youth Hunts and Wounded Warrior Hunts continue, donate on-line here.
The cost of sending one underprivileged kid on a Christian Youth Hunt is $1,200. And now, thanks to the generosity of one sponsor, anything that you give up to $100,000 will be doubled.
So, if you give $150 today, your donation will be doubled to $300 and fund one-quarter of the $1,200 cost for one kid to participate in this life-changing ministry.
You can also make a tax-deductible donation by check made out to "Trinity Oaks." Send it to: Tom Snyder, Trinity Oaks, 9385 Miller Lane, San Antonio, Texas 78266. (Write "McManus newsletter" in the memo)
