Be a Mainsail Volunteer!
Mainsail Arts Festival This Weekend!...

The  Mainsail Arts Festival of St. Petersburg is looking for volunteers  to work at their soft drink booths, beer/wine booth and Promotions (T-shirts, posters) booths. The shifts are 2-21/2 hours in length.  As you may be aware, Mainsail Arts Festival is run by volunteers with the exception of food vendors.

If any of the Second Time Arounders are interested in volunteering they can register to volunteer on line at www.mainsailartsfestival.org.  Click on mainsailVOLUNTEERS to the left of the screen and a page will come up that briefly describes volunteer opportunities.  Click on SIGN-UP TO VOLUNTEER at the bottom of the page, this will bring up a registration form and a "Real Time" schedule which shows available shift openings.  Just fill out the registration information and check which shift you would like to volunteer.  Remember to click SUBMIT at the bottom of the page.

This year volunteers will be given a Mainsail Arts Festival T-shirt to celebrate their 35th Anniversary.

Your Rounders have a terrific reputation as being a community minded organization. Thanks for consideration of being a volunteer!

The Mainsail Arts Festival runs this weekend...April 17 and 18.

A Few Answers To Your Calgary Questions

Frequently Asked Calgary Questions...

Hi...! You've asked and we're answering! Here's a look at some of the FIRST questions you've asked about Calgary...and our answers! As we get more, we'll publish more (and post them to the website this Summer).

Do you have a question...? Contact us at communications@secondtimearounders.com

How will our equipment be transported?
Large instruments and guard equipment will be transported in a container by commercial carrier.  Smaller instruments will either be carried on or checked in baggage which will be paid by the band.

Will there be a Hospitality Suite at the Hotel? Yes, liquid refreshments will be made available to band members, VIPs and tagalongs.  Also, band information such as meeting times and schedule changes will be made available there.

Will travel insurance be made available? Yes, it is through Access America. Music Festivals will provide us with brochures and there will be a link on our website.

Will there be transportation to and from events for tagalongs?  Yes, there will.  Details will be forthcoming.

Will the excursion prices include transportation?  Yes.

Will there be choices of airline carriers so band members and guests can earn SkyMiles?  Yes, but there might be an increase in the cost, so you may want to consider making your own flight arrangements and register for the "Land Only" option through Music Festivals.

Will auto rental information be made available?  We encourage you to make your own auto rental arrangements so that you are able to take advantage of discounts such as those offered by professional associations, AAA, AARP, etc.

What is the cost of parking at the hotel?  (Dennis will provide this information).

Will there be continuous shuttle service available between the hotel and the Stampede event area(s)?  Yes, this will be provided at no cost to band members, tagalongs and VIPs.

Will there be a band dinner event?  This has not been decided yet, but if there is it will most likely be on the evening of the parade (Friday) so that band members are able to enjoy as much free time as possible!

Will Music Festivals assist me if I wish to extend my stay?  Gladly!

Where do we eat?  All meals are on your own and there are many restaurants in the hotel and Stampede event areas.

Join us in Calgary...! There's still time!
