| SLIGHT RAIN CHANCE FRIDAY |
| The weather for the parade Thursday should be "just perfect" but on Friday there is a chance of rain "early in the day."
Bill will "make the call" by 3PM based on the forecast on Friday as to the weather conditions. By 3:30...we'll send-out an E-Mail for "go" or "no-go" for Friday's performance (most likely "go"). Please look for that E-Mail or call someone you know who gets it!
We WANT to Perform and will only send cancellation if rain chances are high! |

Rounders: "A teacher at my school is looking for 5 or 6 musicians willing to play the Ramblin' Wreck of Georgia Tech theme at a wedding reception on the evening of May 7, 2010.
It's at Isla Del Sol. She'll provide tee shirts, music, and probably either feed you, and/or make a Rounders contribution.
If a small group is interested, especially anyone who went to GT, call me and I'll set you up with her.
Thanks!"

Greetings!
This Thursday and Friday we'll "Round" out our somewhat abbreviated season with both the Festival of States Night Parade and our Fast Friday Concert as part of Race Weekend in St. Pete. Both events should be a lot of fun and we look forward to your prompt attendance!
For the parade this Thursday we will meet at 6:00 PM sharp on 5th St. and 1st. Ave So. Be in full Rounders uniform including your Rounders shirt, hat, black or dark belt, white shoes and socks. If it is cold out...feel free to wear a long-sleeve white shirt under your Rounders shirt if you would like. Bring only what you need to march with (leave your cases in the car). A full Rounders Concert will follow the parade at about 8:20. Also, look for the "watering hole" after the concert behind the drum line!! With the cancellation of the day parade this year...the night parade should drive larger crowds!
For "Fast Friday" we'll Meet at 6:15 p.m. at the corner of 3rd street and 1st Ave No. (Southeast corner of Williams Park). The Concert is at 7:00 p.m. and will be over by 7:30 p.m. As part of Race Weekend, there will certainly be a large crowd around to listen to the "Rounders Sound." Consider sticking around after the concert to enjoy the other free entertainment, restaurants, and refreshment stands of "Fast Friday." In case of inclement weather...see our rain communications plan "to the left" in this newsletter.
Looking forward to some powerful performances. Let's "wow" the crowds and bring everybody the powerful "Rounders Sound!"
See you Thursday and Friday!
Bill

This and That...
- Join us after the parade and concert Thursday for refreshments "behind the Drum Line!" Looks like a group will also be going to Harvey's on 4th Street one last time as well! (3121 4th Street North)
- The band looked really sharp Saturday...you really did! But if there was one "sore spot" that hurt our appearance it would be the many water bottles spotted in back pockets or tucked-in to some members pants. Please only use the official Rounders water belts and if you play anything other than Saxophone or percussion...those belts must go to you RIGHT Side. Saxes to the LEFT and percussion BEHIND. Help keep the uniform well...uniform!
- Also, to help with the professionalism of our organization and its look...please have your shirts tucked-in from the moment you leave your car till you return. Even when walking to and from a Rounders event...we need to you to present the organization well. Please keep those shirts tucked!!
- Tickets for the Rounders Spaghetti Dinner on April 23 will be available while we wait to line-up for the parade. Tickets are $10.00 for adults and $3.00 for children under 12. See Becky (cymbals) or Lee (piccolo) for Tix. Mark your calendars regardless as tickets WILL be available at the door.
** The Rounders would like to sincerely thank our recent "Keg" donors!! For our post-parade refreshments this Thursday, Sue Phillips and Bruce Hall. At Fergs Saturday (Post Chasco)...Tim Holly and Bill Prang. At our mid-season social...Melissa Mince. For the Chili Cook-Offf...Melissa Mince, Stewart Olson, Marti Baker, and Doubles Sports Bar. Thank you all so very much for your generosity!! |
