Dear Friends,
Our vision has now become an awe-inspiring reality. This magnificent Chihuly Chandelier was installed last week at the Lorry I. Lokey stem cell research building at Stanford. It was a fascinating experience watching these very talented men carefully attach the 2,800 pieces of glass to each of the three armatures. On your next visit to the Bay Area this is something you will not want to miss.
We are looking forward to the Blue Dot Golf Tournament that the Ladies Group at Sharon Heights Golf and Country Club will be hosting on Tuesday, Oct. 26th. They will be honoring a member who has gone through a cancer experience so we know this will be a very special tournament.
The Holidays are just around the corner so when you begin your Holiday Shopping, consider giving one of our beautiful hand blown glass ornament to a friend or loved one. They were created to honor all those who wear the blue dots but are also a unique, one of a kind gift. The proceeds from the sale of these ornaments supports cancer research. Until Next Time........ Sue

From a Vision - to Reality The
Chihuly Chandelier is a magnificent piece Made
by loving and caring folks. They've
created the pattern, blown the glass With
pieces round and others that poke.
Each
piece alone is a work of art But
combined they're impressive indeed. Forever
it will grace this stem cell building To help research at Stanford succeed.
It
took days to install this magnificent piece Very
precise the men had to be. To
connect each piece to the steel frame Was
fascinating for us to see.
Now
it's complete and what a treat to the eye Awe
inspiring it will always be. 'Combining
art with science for hope, health and healing' Will bless thousands
- not just you and me. © Sue McCollum 9-6-10
