Dear Friends, The time has finally come. The Chihuly Chandelier is being transported from Seattle to Stanford to be installed in the Lory I.Lokey Stem Cell Research Building. This is the day we have all been waiting for and many of you have been invited to view this installation. It will be a thrilling sight watching 1,800 pieces of beautiful hand blown glass being installed. But we all know, in life as well as in art, it all starts from a strong foundation. Until Next Time........ Sue

Strong Foundation Bare and plain this steel piece is With many holes and empty spaces. But strong and stable is the steel That will hold the glass in their places.
When finished this piece will be fabulous, It will be a great delight to see. For the magnificent blown glass pieces attached Will bring tears to both you and me.
But this piece is like our own life, It's what's inside that will get us through. Those difficult times when we're down and out And don't know what to do.
But a strong foundation will sustain us And hold us through these times. When the beauty of our outside world Is not in sync with our body and mind.
Yes, the finished piece that the world will see Will be beautiful to the eye. But it's a steel foundation that is the key For this piece and for you and I.
