How About Children or Teenagers on a Short-Term Medical Mission Team?

Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these." Matthew 19:14 My wife and I often are asked questions about taking a child or a teenager along as part of a short-term medical Mission team. - Is it a good idea?
- Isn't it dangerous for kids to go?
- How old should they be before trying to join a short-term medical Mission team?
- Can they actually help do anything there?
- Won't they just be in the way?
