Dear Notre Dame Families:
Where has the time gone? Thank you for all the volunteers this past year!!!!This is your school and we couldn't make it happen without you!!!! Here are just a few of our events that wouldn't happen without the help of volunteers: Golf Outing, Key Club, Book Fairs, Fall Fest, Winter Carnival, Athletics, Donuts for Dad's, Muffins for Mom.
Planning for 2012-2013 is well under way A "tenative" calendar for the 2012-2013 school year will be available later this week. The first day of school will be Tuesday, September 4th. Middle schoolers are preparing for final semester exams in some subject areas. Comprehensive assessments are common in high school and college (therefore important that we prepare students).
Congratulations to the Second Graders on making their First Communion!!! Ms. Lynn and the Second Grade did a fantastic job with the May Crowning mass!!! Way to go Second Grade!!!
Thank you to all who have registered and completed the tuition agreement.
It is very important that we get our families enrolled. Enrollment has an impact on teacher contracts. If you do not have your registration link, user ID, or password from last year, e-mail the GRACE office (using your email address from last year's registration) at registration@gracesystem.org or call 499-7330 and ask for Donna.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding enrollment call me on my cell at 217-4684.
Alumni Planning is well underway for the ALL CLASS ALUMNI event. We are hosting tours of the elementary and middle school as well as a special mass for All Alumni before the reunion. Your help will be needed for these events. Look for a sign-up genius coming next week. To purchase tickets for this inaugural event click here. Current school parents are welcome to join us in the festivities.
Church Picnic Games Lead Needed to benefit Notre Dame Middle School: Did you know that the money that is earned from the games area of the St. Francis & St. Mary picnics comes back to Notre Dame school? What a great opportunity to make some extra money for student activities - specifically Middle School activities! We are looking to have these activities run by Middle School students with a Parent Coordinator so that the money raised would be used for the needs of the Middle School students (ex. Graduation costs, retreat costs, middle school events, etc.) A 6th or 7th grade parent volunteer is needed to help co-ordinate students to run the games at the picnics and possibly expand on the games area of the picnics - the sky's the limit! Please contact Patti Pagel if you are interested in earning TSF hours to help benefit Notre Dame in a fun and exciting way. P.S. The past chair of games is also willing to show the new coordinator the ropes!"
Notre Dame School is looking to fill the athletic director position. This paid position is under the direction of the Principal and the Notre Dame Athletic and Booster Club Committee. Interested candidates should contact Jeff Kaftan at 217-4684 or Karen Nies at: tknies@new.rr.com.

Mark your calendars for the Notre Dame Golf Outing scheduled for Monday September 17th, 2012. Please consider joining the committee. It's a great way to get involved with the school, kids and community and does not require golfing expertise! Tuesday, May 15th is a non-uniform day. Donations will be collected for the Cystic Fibrosis walk on Saturday, May 19th. Ellen Meverden will do the walk for her Son Matthew, who has this disease.
The Connelly's give a huge thank you to all of you who dressed down last week to help Evan celebrate Fanconi Anemia Day. Because of your generosity, over $400 was raised for Fanconi Anemia research. Your kindness and support is appreciated more than our words can say.
