Dear Notre Dame Families:
Welcome Back!!! I hope that you had a wonderful, relaxing Easter and Spring Break!
Thank you to all who have registered and completed the tuition agreement. The early numbers appear to be very positive and a third year of enrollment growth is in sight!!! There are thirty-five kindergartners registered and I continue to give tours to prospective families! We also have several new students enrolled in many of the other grades. I will be re-sending my "registration" e-mail from earlier in the week as a reminder (I know how busy all of you are!!)
Our goal at Notre Dame of DePere is to make Catholic education affordable. There are two avenues to pursue tuition assistance: 1. Grace tuition assistance 2. Notre Dame tuition assistance. Families should first apply for assistance through Grace, after receiving a response from Grace, then apply through Notre Dame (the Notre Dame tuition assistance application will be posted on-line). Following is a brief letter received from Grace yesterday that I would like to share with your regarding Grace tuition assistance:
The first financial aid deadline for need-based financial assistance is Friday, May 4th. Families enrolled at any of the ten Grace member schools can submit an application in a confidential and secure way. For more information go to: http://www.gracesystem.org/financial-aid/. Last year, Grace provided over $211,000 in financial assitance and over $17,000 in hardship tuition relief to over 125 families.

Just two gentle reminders that concern the safety of your children: 1. All students and children need parental supervision after school. Students should not be wandering the halls or playing in the gym unless they are accompanied by a parent. If there is no parental supervision, the children will be sent to the After School program for the $16 per day drop in fee. 2. Please do not prop any school door open with items such as the red safety cone; opening the door in this way allows access to the building to unauthorized people.
A big thank you to Mary Giese (outgoing chair and organizer of theis event for many years) and Joel DeMoulin (incoming chair) for putting a great Island Adventure Carnival!! Everyone had a great time and raised $4,000 for the school!! Wow!!
Sending a call out to the ND families:
If anyone has access to a dunk tank and/or a bouncy house for the St. Francis picnic, please contact Stacy Blahnik at 983-0662.
