Dear Notre Dame Families:
Excitement is building for the coming of Christmas! Students are decorating classrooms with advent wreaths in the elementary school and middle school is holding a door decorating contest. All students are learning about the advent wreath.
Students are preparing the next Student led (fifth grade) assembly about the fruit "patience". The assembly will be held at 2:00, Thursday, December 8th, in the middle school gym.
Just a quick reminder mass will be tomorrow at St. Mary's and begins at 9:00 A.M. Mass is in celebration of the Immaculate Conception.
Mrs. Freeman is busy preparing for the Christamas concert (grades K-5) and Mrs. Dunkel is preparing a Christmas art exhibit (grades K-8). Mark your calendar for December 15th. Click here to find out more: Arrest These Merry Gentlemen.
Student Council will be holding a bake sale on Thursday, December 15 during the Elementary School afternoon and evening Christmas concert. If you would like to donate any baked items please drop them off in Mrs. Pagel's room at the Middle School on Wednesday or Thursday. All proceeds will go to purchasing wireless routers for the six projectors that the student council has just purchased for the Middle School. Any questions e-mail Mrs. Pagel at ppagel@gracesystem.org.
Click here to get the teacher Scrip certicates form. This is a great way to show your appreciation for our HARD working staff!!! Please consider giving generously as our teachers generously give of their gifts. Traditionally, scrip has been given to teachers in place of Christmas gifts. You can give as little as $1 to as much as you want. This has been greatly appreciated by teachers and staff!!
Youth Ministry is excited to announce an Advent experience with SHINE founder, Augie Leal that you won't want to miss! There will be a family advent night of praise and worship and a middle school retreat. click here to find our more: Youth Ministry.
Come to the Barnes and Noble book fair! Story time begins at 7:00, Friday, December 9th. Bring your children Santa Clause will be there! Click here to find out more: The Polar Express.
Did you know that each elementary classroom has a homeroom parent or a team of parents that assist to plan holiday parties and also serve to communicate between parents and the homeroom teacher? Please see the list of parents assigned to each room. For the list click here: Homeroom List Thank you to these parents for your help and leadership.
On last thing, if you aren't aware we will be asking for field trip fees at the time the permission slip goes home (at the middle school this will be fees exceeding the $30 fee assessed at the beginning). We are no longer able to add this to your tuition since tuition is billed through Grace.
In Spirit,
Jeff
