We're very excited to announce Essential StaffCARE has become the newest Integrated Partner with COATS! All COATS clients are eligible for this exciting opportunity.  Where other software vendors would charge hundreds of dollars or more to implement a customized payroll report update for our weekly file transfers, COATS offers this free of charge!  There has never been a charge for staffing companies to offer our products, the ONLY costs incurred comes from the software or payroll vendor to update their system.  COATS has made this truly "cost free"!

                                   Exciting New Features are Heading Your Way!

You've heard of Stop, Drop, Roll, but have you heard of Click, Drag, Drop?  These are three words that has everyone excited at COATS.  We are implementing Integrated Resume Parsing powered by The Sovren Group.  It literally is clicking on a resume, dragging it to COATS and dropping it into the Resume Parser.  What does that one step do? It creates an application, populates skills, creates a list of skills sets for searching, stores an original resume, and allows the user with one click create an agency embedded logo with resume information into a .pdf that can be sent automatically to Client Department Contacts.
 
Can I drag from Outlook? Yes
Can I copy from Outlook? Yes
Can I scan a paper resume? Yes

Employees Honor Company for Second Consecutive Year
Reno, Nev. - The Applied Companies have been recognized with a 2009 Greater Reno-Tahoe Best Places to Work Award. For the second consecutive year, The Applied Companies were honored by their employees and were recognized as a second place winner in the small company category (15-50 employees). The Applied Companies consist of three companies dedicated to managing the business of employing people, including: Applied Business Solutions (ABS) which provides a full-service Professional Employer Organization (PEO); Applied Staffing Solutions which specializes in temporary or temp-to-hire employment; and Applied Recruiting Solutions which offers executive search and direct hire services.

The Applied Companies was one of nine winners selected from 56 finalists. Awards were based solely on overall scores from an online and anonymous survey of employees. The purpose of the survey is to help the Greater Reno-Tahoe region identify and recognize the area employers that have the most engaged workforces and is one of the few national competitions judged solely upon quantitative measurement of employee input.  Criteria for the awards include manager and team effectiveness, co-worker trust, people practices and feeling valued. The survey and results were managed by Quantum Workplace (www.qmrinc.com), a market research company which specialist in measuring workplace satisfaction. The Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN), the Northern Nevada Human Resources Association (NNHRA) and the Reno Gazette-Journal co-sponsor the awards.

"The benefits of employee satisfaction apply not just to a company, but extends to the community as well," said Gail Conkey, director of business retention and expansion for EDAWN.  "Winning is nice, but having direct feedback from your employees is what makes you a better company in the long term. Taking part in the awards also means you're one of the few companies that had the foresight to want to listen to and embrace your employees' comments. Those are the companies that really move forward, especially in this economic environment."
