AnserTeam Benefits Owners During Slow Times
There is a lot to be said regarding the benefits of membership in staffing organizations these days and there are a lot of choices out there. One choice which should not be overlooked is AnserTeam. One key difference is ownership vs. membership; joining AnserTeam makes your staffing firm an owner rather than a member. While the AnserTeam concept is still young compared to most organizations, there are apparent and immediate noteworthy considerations.
AnserTeam is an alliance of independent staffing companies across the United States. Its primary purpose is to give local, independent staffing companies the ability to apply for and be awarded regional and national staffing opportunities. This is how to compete with the nationals and while it is the primary reason to join, it is by far not the only benefit.
About a year ago, Reliance Staffing Services, an AnserTeam owner recently expanded to the Hospitality market. They turned to a fellow AnserTeam member, The Supporting Cast, who helped with training and marketing materials. "We were able to get up and running in half the time. The savings on marketing material The Supporting Cast provided paid for our dues!", said Lynn Connor, VP of Sales for Reliance.
Additionally, AnserTeam is in consideration for WBENC certification. This would provide AnserTeam the designation of being the only National provider with the WBENC certification. Henry Graeber, a fellow COATS User adds, "The possibility of being the only WBENC certified organization in staffing holds outstanding potential."
While these are a few of the extra benefits, AnserTeam was created for National competition. If you have a desire to compete with the Nationals in your city, teaming up with Anserteam might just be the ticket. Exclusive market opportunities are closing, so call or visit today! www.anserteam.com or call COATS and ask for Tom Sarach, he can give you all the details.

Office Efficiencies
We've heard from many clients that they've had to lay off staff, that staff are working every other day, or part-time. It's a time where efficiency is manditory. How can COATS help you and your staff make the best use of your time? Below are a few time/money savers to consider:
1. Your Administrative Assitants can tackle many tasks, one of the most inefficient parts of their day is entering applications. Why have one admin enter mulitple applications when your applicants could be entering their own data? With Online Applicant Entry and access to the internet, the applicant can fill out their own information online in your office. While they are testing the admin can print off their Formal Application and make copies of their required forms.
2. Save money by not printing, stuffing, and stamping postage on checks and direct deposit advice. With Global Cash Card you can upload a pay stub file that includes all paycard stubs, direct deposit advice and pay check stubs. Your employees can have instant access to their check detail and history, online, on a secure site, linked to your web site.
3. Why have your staff create spreadsheets and manual reports when TONS of reports are within the COATS program specifically for management review. Let Karen know what you are doing manually and she''ll let you know where it is in the system or how we can create a custom report!
4. If you are outsourcing your payroll why are you taking the time to re-enter all the front office and billing information in a separate software package to create invoices? Enter your payroll in COATS, export or print the timesheet for your outsourced payroll and click a button to create invoices, Furthermore track payments, your aged analysis, and collection calls within COATS!
5. On that note, if you are outsourcing payroll, why? Consider the cost savings of highering a part time bookkeeper or a COATS Payroll Partner to handle your payroll and invoicing which keeps all the data and reports within one system. Your entering the job orders, all that's missing are the hours!
Judy and Karen are here to help answer any questions you have regarding COATS and how it can be used most efficiently for your needs. Please call us and ask us any "can you's" regarding COATS.
We are here and want to help! |

Last week the federal government once again delayed new federal contractor requirements for E-Verify. The applicability date was changed from May 21, 2009, to June 30, 2009. This is the third delay. The stated purpose was to allow the Obama Administration an adequate opportunity to review the rule. The delays have followed a lawsuit filed last year on behalf of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce that challenged the legality of the rules on the ground that current immigration law prohibits mandating the use of the E-Verify system. Unless the courts strike down the rules, or the administration comes up with a modified version that can pass legal muster, federal contractors and subcontractors that are subject to the rules will have to review their I-9 forms dating back to 1986 for all employees assigned to a federal contract and make any required updates or changes. They will also need to ensure that other E-Verify requirements are met, including verifying that a photograph of the employee was reviewed during the initial process and that current status documents are updated to reflect the employee's current eligibility to work in the U.S. In many cases, an entirely new I-9 will need to be completed. The rules also will apply to all new employees hired during the contract term-regardless of whether the new hires are assigned to a federal contract.
