SNEAK PEEK!! Micropumps
transport the tiniest amount of gases or liquids in a wide variety of applications, including medical equipment, fuel cells, mobile applications, and much more.
The functional principle is based on a piezoelectric diaphragm in combination with passive check valves. A piezo ceramic mounted on a coated brass membrane is deformed when voltage is applied. By the resulting down stroke, the medium is being displaced out of the pump chamber below. The check valves on both sides of the pump chamber define the flow direction. When the voltage decreases, the piezo's corresponding deformation causes an upstroke of the membrane. The medium is sucked in and the chamber is filled again. In every second, the pump can do several hundred pumping cycles. The pumping performance can be influenced by adjustment of the parameters.
This radically simple pump design allows for easy adaptation to specific flow rates or back pressure. Various types of test equipment are available for purchase to assist you in designing in your micropump.
Cost-effective, reliable with a long life, and easy to use, these micropumps can transform your product. Take a look at the many application notes listed below to learn more.

Mass Flow Sensors Now Offered by Servoflo
flow sensors incorporate the latest MEMS and microelectronics innovations. The sensor die uses a pair of thermopiles to detect changes in temperature gradient caused by mass flow, delivering ultra-low noise-to-signal, and unsurpassed repeatability. The "solid-state" thermal isolation on the sensor die eliminates the need for surface cavities or fragile membranes used in
competing solutions, making the sensor resistant to clogging and pressure shock.
Available models include:
PMF1000 Series - unamplified output, 10 sccm to 3000 sccm
PMF2000 Series - compensated and linearized output, 10 sccm to 2000 sccm
PMFc3000 Series - compensated and linearized output, 10 sccm to 2000 sccm. Pin-to-pin replacement for AWM3000.
PMF4000 Series - compensated & calibrated, for 50 SLM to 300 SLM
Typical applications for mass flow sensors include:
- Medical - respirators, CPAP equipment, oxygen conservers, anethesia delivery
- HVAC - VAV damper control, clogged filter detection
- Leak detection
- Industrial & process control
- and much more!

Pressure Sensor Aids Medical Application
This new blog post is a brief discussion about how a high performing gauge pressure sensor was utilized by InControl Medical of Wisconsin to create an innovative solution for a common medical problem.
ME75X is a versatile, new technology sensor chip providing factory-calibrated temperature information. It includes a temperature sensing chip and a 24-bit ADC. Highly accurate temperature information (±0.1°C) and high resolution results from the 24 bit ADC and factory calibration.
, ME77X & ME780 Amplified Ceramic Pressure Sensor are high performing, media-compatible sensors with excellent chemical resistivity. Typical applications include transducer development, medical, process control & instrumentation.
I2C interface.ZSSC3026 is a sensor signal conditioner integrated circuit for high accuracy amplification and analog-to-digital conversion of a differential input signal. The ZSSC3026 can perform offset, span and 1st and 2nd order temperature compensation of the measured signal. Developed for correction of resistive bridge sensors, it can also provide a corrected temperature output measured with an internal sensor.
