Dear ,

November has caught us by surprise here at Servoflo. Our freak New England snowstorm forced us to close unexpectedly for one day due to power loss, but we have since recovered and are ready to face winter head on!

Our sensors newsletter this month includes:
  • Updates from our blog
  • SM5882 digital pressure sensor
  • 4515/4525 pressure sensor updates
  • Transducer Design Guide now available!
  • Last chance! Take our survey & enter to win a prize

If you are unsure of your needs or would like an immediate discussion about your application, the best use of your time is to either call us at 781-862-9572, email at info@servoflo.com, or use our contact us page.

Latest Posts In Our Sensors Blog!

We have 2 new posts to share in our blog.

Titled Choosing the Right Sensor Signal Conditioning IC, this post written by David Grice of ZMDI discusses various considerations to think about when choosing a signal conditioning chip. Navigating the many choices can be confusing and it's easy to choose a part that is not necessarily the right fit for your application.

Another blog post of interest is our thoughts on a recently released research report. MEMS Pressure Sensor Use Forecast to Grow shares with you some key points found in the report. We would love to hear if you agree or disagree!

In case you missed last month's newsletter, our most popular blog post by far is
The Most Common Mistake Made When Selecting a Pressure Sensor.

SM5882 SO-16 Digital Pressure Sensors

Pressure sensor SM5882SM5882 Series of pressure sensors combines state-of-the-art pressure sensor technology to produce an amplified, fully conditioned, multi-order pressure and temperature-compensated sensor in a small SO16 plastic package.

The pressure sensor can be mounted directly to a standard printed circuit board and an amplified high-level, calibrated pressure signal can be acquired from the digital interface or analog output. This eliminates the need for most additional circuitry, such as a compensation network or micro-controller containing a custom correction algorithm.

SM5882 is designed for operation pressure ranges at 0.6 psi and 1.5 psi.

  • Both analog & digital pressure output
  • Access to temperature signal-conditioned analog & digital pressure output
  • Available for differential, gauge, and single-ended applications
  • Small, low cost SO16 package
  • Two pressure ranges available: 0.6 psi (4.1 kPa) and 1.5 psi (10.3 kPa) full-scale
  • Available in tape and reel

4515 & 4525 Updates
45X5 Series
We now have representatives samples available on the 4515 and 4525 Series of pressure sensors. Available in either analog or digital output versions, these sensors are reflective of the latest technology available in sensing today.

As a reminder, here is a list of the various models:
4515: for 2" to 30" of water, analog output
4515DO: sames as 4515 but with digital output
4525:1 psi to 150 psi, analog output
4525DO: same as 4525 but with digital output
New Transducer Design Guide Available!
Servoflo is pleased to announce the release of our latest product guide titled "Creating a Transducer". This 5 minute overview describes the benefits of designing your own pressure transducer or other type of packaged sensor by incorporating a sensing element and sensor signal conditioning IC.

Alternatively, if you have the need for a completely packaged pressure transducer but lack the technical expertise, we can help!

Please Help! Take Our Product Search Survey

Servoflo has a SHORT 6 question survey about how you search for components that takes only 2 minutes to complete.

Why are we doing this survey?

As Internet use continues to increase to search for components, we would like to learn more about how you find parts. What tools are useful to you - Google, Twitter, blogs, trade journal web sites?

Wall Mount BarometerOur ultimate goal is to provide our customers with the best possible information on pressure sensors, humidity sensors, SSIC's & LED drivers in the most optimal format for you! We are sensitive to your time constraints and willingness to use the latest technology to both find parts and also to find technical details about that part.

We hope you take a couple minutes of your time to let us know how we can help you.

By taking our survey, you will be automically entered to win this beautiful wall-mount barometer. This barometer actually uses a Servoflo component! The survey will be open until December 15.
