Testing to Ensure Accurate Call Routing
 The national branding campaign starts September 3rd! To ensure a smooth launch, CKFI will be conducting testing during August 29th, 30th and September 1st. During this period, CKFI associates will be calling your franchisee offices and will identify themselves as a "CKFI Associate." They will provide you with either your territory number or your street name. Please either confirm the information is correct or inform the caller that the information is not accurate. Please respond to these questions when your office is dialed. This will help ensure the accuracy of the call routing functionality. Thanks for your support. |

Some changes to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) have been made that you need to be aware of. This mega rule change seeks to finalize privacy and security regulations, and will affect Comfort Keepers®' practices. These are some of the most significant changes to the rule since it was first implemented 15 years ago. The final rule was effective on March 26, 2013 and covered entities and business associates must comply with the rules by September 23, 2013.

ACO Growth is Good News for You
Did you know that a significant number of Accountable Care Organizations have formed since 2012? That goes against some of the recent publicity about the demise of ACOs. David Simic, Vice President, Business Development, says, "Although there has been publicity recently about nine of the original Pioneer ACOs dropping out of the program, overall ACO growth is continuing."
In fact, there are approximately 8 to 14 million commercially insured patients in non-Medicare ACOs according to MedeAnalytics, and ACO activity on the commercial side shows no sign of abating.
All of this is great news for you, as growing ACOs mean more business opportunities for your franchise. Strong ACOs help grow your customer base!
