COLLEGE CAMPUS TOUR COMES TO NEW ENGLAND, WITNESSING IN 'WITCH CITY'

& MORE!

In this update: Read about the ministry's campus tour in New England, its witness in the "Witch City" on Halloween, its outreach at the World Series in Boston and its effort to print new gospel tracts for its work on the streets.

College Campus Tour Comes to New England
Repent America (RA) recently traveled to New England to preach the word of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ at various venues throughout the region.

Earlier this month, the ministry visited numerous university and college campuses in Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut, followed by a week of outreach in Pennsylvania.

Among the campuses where the Gospel was preached include Harvard University, University of Massachusetts Boston, University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, University of Massachusetts Lowell, University of Rhode Island, University of Connecticut, University of Pennsylvania, Lock Haven University, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, California University of Pennsylvania, University of Pittsburgh, Slippery Rock University and West Chester University.

While some students mocked the preaching, others genuinely desired to hear more about the Scriptures. Many one-to-one conversations were had with the students and hundreds of tracts were distributed as well.

In Massachusetts, RA saw an about-face at University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, which had threatened other Christians with arrest just weeks prior after a lesbian became upset with the witnessing. When the ministry contacted campus police to ensure that the preaching would be protected, the content of the message again seemed to be an issue.

Consequently, RA sent a letter to university officials, outlining that it is unconstitutional for speech to be punished due to its content. While the ministry arrived to find the university flying a homosexual rainbow flag on campus, it ultimately prevailed as police stood down despite opposition from a few intolerant students. In all, the visit to the university was very productive as RA was blessed with the opportunity to speak truth into the lives of hundreds of youth.

In Pennsylvania, one student at the University of Pittsburgh rode up on a bike and listened intently as Jim shared the word of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Before he left, the student remarked that the message made sense to him, as opposed to the Buddhism that he had been exposed to, and expressed his gratitude for the time that was spent caring for his soul.

Many students at the various campuses stated that they were encouraged by the witnessing, and some gave the members of the ministry team coffee and hot chocolate. One student at the University of Pennsylvania gave Michael a box of chocolates in thankfulness as he was preaching.

Universities are known as institutions of higher learning, but many students know little about the message of the gospel or the meaning of being born again. Please pray that those who heard will repent and surrender all to Jesus Christ.

Witnessing in 'Witch City'
Repent America (RA) traveled to Salem, Massachusetts last month to preach the word of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ to those celebrating Halloween in America's "Witch City."

Each year, Salem hosts a month-long public celebration of darkness known as "Haunted Happenings," which features various activities that reflect the city's long unrepentant history of witchcraft and the occult. The presence of evil is especially heavy in Salem during the Halloween season, attracting tens of thousands of participants from across the country.

As usual, a number of attendees displayed great hostility toward the word of God, including those who professed to be Christians. However, many others stopped to listen to the message with genuine interest and asked questions.

One man, who was dressed like a monk, became angered by the preaching as he took issue with the message of repentance from sin. When asked, he admitted that he was affiliated with former Foursquare "Pastor" Phil Wyman, who was expelled from the denomination in 2005 for becoming too unequally yoked together with the witches. Wyman was present at the event as he offered free life and tattoo readings for Haunted Happenings attendees. As the crowds watched, the ministry explained the importance of presenting the full counsel of the word of God so that men may truly "know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge" (Ephesians 3:19).

Christian News Network, a ministry of Repent America, covered Haunted Happenings and the encounter with the costumed monk in a recent news article. Click here to read more, and please pray for all those who heard the message preached.

"There shall not be found among you anyone that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch." - Deuteronomy 18:10

Word of God Proclaimed at the World Series
Repent America (RA) visited Fenway Park last month to proclaim the word of God to the thousands that were attending the last day of the World Series in Boston.

The St. Louis Cardinals and the Boston Red Sox went head-to-head on the field in the midst of an idolatrous atmosphere, which is common at sporting events.

However, when it came to matters of eternity, many displayed an indifference and apathy toward the message of the gospel. Men were like zombies being led by their obsession and dead to the voice of truth. Nonetheless, hundreds of tracts were distributed to the enormous crowds and many had the opportunity to hear about Christ's sacrifice on the cross for the sins of man.

Please pray that the seeds that were planted during the outreach will result in a harvest of souls.

RA Distributes Its Last Gospel Tract
Repent America (RA) recently handed out its last gospel tract after reaching tens of thousands of people on the streets over the past month.

Gospel tracts are an integral part of the ministry's evangelistic work, and have been used for centuries as an effective tool to communicate the gospel with the lost. Renowned 19th century preacher Charles Spurgeon once stated:

"There is a real service of Christ in the distribution of the gospel in its printed form, a service the result of which Heaven alone shall disclose, and the Judgment Day alone discover. How many thousands have been carried to Heaven instrumentally upon the wings of these tracts, none can tell..."

Tracts are great conversation starters, and provide a unique dynamic to witness on the streets by allowing the ministry to easily approach those passing by and offer information while asking questions about life and eternity. Tracts are also a wonderful way to provide the gospel in printed form, so that they may be read over and over again by the recipient. Engaging in follow-up is additionally a very meaningful and important part of the ministry's outreach.

While literature has been customarily donated in the past, this time RA is seeking to print its own tailor-made tracts, which outline salvation with Scripture and provide the ministry's personal contact information. RA desires to print as many tracts as possible to reach as many souls as possible with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
