NEW & NOTABLE RESTAURANTS:

SoHo: 323 Broadway
French Cuisine with Italian & Provenal fare
With the original restaurant in southern France in the picturesque town of Antibes, I instantly knew that this new dining spot would be exceptional. MAMO oozes in Provencal charm... a French restaurant with both Italian and Provencal fare.
Food ranges from classic family recipes to market specials. The multi-level spot is designed with a white-wash interior and splashes of color and hand painted tiles.  I recommend the wild salmon, ravioli with truffles, and if you save room for dessert, the tiramisu is a must!

Gaia

Shows mile by mile locations, entertainment, and tips for making the most of your time.

TIPS FOR THE DAY:
  1. Dress in layers. Standing still in the breeze can get chilly, but it may be warm with the sun.
  2. Check out road closuresPublic Transportation is the best way to travel on Sunday.
  3. Never yell "You're almost there" to runners unless you can see the finish line.
  4. Plan ahead with runner friends so they know where you will be. Finding them in the crowd may be challenging, but them finding you can be just as hard!
  5. Plan a post-race meeting spot.  It can be near impossible to find a runner once they've finished, particularly because runners are disoriented and tired afterward. (Note: Finishers ride the subway free that day.)
  6. Look for the New York Times in the days after the race for published finishers - your friends may make it to print!

WHERE TO CHEER:

I always like to watch along 1st Avenue in the 70s in Manhattan.  This is around Miles 16-18.  Runners have made their way for the first time into Manhattan so the excitement for them and for spectators is great!  Then you can make your way over to 5th Avenue along Museum Mile (Miles 21-23). Check out the course map to plan your location. Just remember if you want to get somewhere, you can't cross certain streets so plan accordingly.

WATCH AT HOME:

If you're not in the city or you want to avoid the crowds, race day coverage will be available. Locally on WABC-TV and nationally on ESPN2. Or you can watch online. Click here for all viewing options.
