Bucket List: 10 Acts of Leadership to Undertake Before You Go We're all familiar with the "bucket list," a compilation of a few deeds we'd like to accomplish before we depart this mortal sphere. Bucket lists are usually framed in terms of personal dreams: climbing Mt. Everest, scuba diving the Great Barrier Reef, visiting Jim Morrison's grave in Paris, wandering the galleries of Angkor Wat, and so forth. But what if you came up with a Leadership Bucket List, describing acts of leadership you absolutely must carry out at least once? What would that look like?

AMA Section on Medical Schools (SMS) - How to see the future of health and medicine-and share the experience
As part of the American Medical Association's relentless pursuit to improve the health of the nation, we are pleased to inform you that we have secured preferred access for AMA members to a very special event: TEDMED 2014, the annual health and medicine edition of TED Talks.
The TEDMED 2014 theme, "Unlocking Imagination in Service of Health and Medicine," is one that AMA embraces as we continue to promote the art and science of medicine and the betterment of public health. That's why the AMA is pleased to be a sponsor of the TEDMED 2014 conference, being held Sept. 10-12 at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., and at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco.
Our partnership with TEDMED also offers complimentary access to watch the entire event online in real-time and on demand the week of the event. Share this unique opportunity with the physicians in training at your institution.
Let the medical students and residents with whom you work know there are two great ways they can take advantage of this benefit:
- Experience TEDMED from their computers or mobile devices. They should enter invitation code "TMLicAMA14" on the TEDMED website to view live or on-demand streaming of the event.
- Organize a viewing party. This community experience is a great way for students, residents and physicians to participate in this stimulating event.
Don't miss your chance to get a glimpse of health care's future at TEDMED 2014!
