If you've ever wondered what difference your donation to the Crisis Center is making, read on.   Over the past two weeks, our Trauma Response Team has gone out twice - once to a school full of kids and faculty grieving over the senseless murder of their two classmates, Colin and Megan, by the kids' own father.   Two days ago, we sent another team to another school, again to console classmates and teachers of Felecia, a beautiful 9 year old girl, who was also murdered.... (READ MORE)

Ella Bing Hosts Bacon & Bow Ties Fundraiser
Bacon & Bow Ties at Datz

The bow tie has made its way back into everyday fashion. This resurgence was evident on May 19th at Datz in South Tampa when Ella Bing hosted the Bacon & Bow Ties fundraiser to benefit the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay. Men and women donned their favorite bow tie and enjoyed a fun evening of raffles, prizes, drink specials and a gourmet bacon bar.

2-1-1 Receives Rave Reviews by AIRS
2-1-1's Debra Harris & Mordecai Dixon

The Crisis Center's 2-1-1 service passed every area of the AIRS accreditation process. 2-1-1 was commended for staff training and preparedness, data management, work environment & Board involvement. Crisis Center tours were described as a "best practice" and 2-1-1 was described as "a well-run and organized service with knowledgeable, caring, and dedicated staff."
