Donor Spotlight: Jamie Broome

Jamie Broome serves on the Crisis Center Legacy Counsel and is a Women in Action Member

Jamie already knew about the Crisis Center's positive reputation when she was approached by agency leadership a couple years ago to help establish a legacy giving program. She had previously worked with The Spring as Director of Development. While there, she heard stories about how the Crisis Center helps people in times of crisis. Her current position as a Trust Advisor with Regions Private Wealth Management provided her with a unique skill set and perspective to help establish a new way for people to support the Crisis Center.

"In order for a non-profit to exist in perpetuity, there needs to be a legacy program in place to provide a sustainable revenue source", says Jamie.  "Establishing the Legacy Society was a team effort that required the work of Crisis Center staff, current donors, and financial, accounting & legal professionals."

Jamie's involvement with the Crisis Center didn't stop when she helped set up the Legacy Society.  She joined Women In Action when she noticed the impact the group makes in the Tampa Bay area.

"When passionate women get together, things happen.  I'm someone who likes to get things done!  Women in Action is addressing relevant and important issues that impact people every day."

Jamie has invested both her time and financial resources in the mission of the Crisis Center and knows that lives are saved every day.

"It's hard in today's world. People call 2-1-1 when they're thinking of taking their own life. They hear a friendly voice and also have someone who will follow up with them."

Thanks to Jamie and everyone who supports the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay through the Legacy Society, Women in Action or the Sustainer Society. Your support is saving lives and changing lives!
