St. Mary's Receives Prestigious Designation
Congratulations to St. Mary's Hospital, designated as the only non-academic Joint Commission-certified Comprehensive Stroke Center in Virginia. This certification, coupled with Bon Secours' primary certified stroke center network, solidifies our reputation as the premier provider of cerebrovascular care in the region.

How Did You Spend Your Spring Break?

Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing created Alternative Spring Break, a community service initiative. Led by staff member Jared Christ, 12 students volunteered 252 hours during the week. Here, students volunteered at the Evelyn D. Reinhart Guest House where they cleaned, prepared meals, organized closets and made cards for the guests. Other organizations that benefited from the students' volunteer service included Habitat For Humanity ReStore, Housing Families First, James River Trails: Belle Isle, Lewis Ginter Community Kitchen Garden and the Richmond Ronald McDonald House.

Corporate Responsibility Education Due April 15
The annual, mandatory Corporate Responsibility Education, which is available via HealthStream, must be completed no later than Friday, April 15. To locate your assignment, log in to HealthStream and look under your "Assigned Learning" for course "BSHSI 2016 Corporate Responsibility and HIPAA Employee Education." The training takes approximately 40 minutes to complete.
This course will be assigned only to employees with a start date before Sept. 1, 2015. Questions? Contact Anjali Mulchandani-West, corporate responsibility officer, or Kotrina O'Neal, chief privacy officer.

We're a Best Company for Female Executives

Terri Spence (center), vice president and regional chief information officer, accepts the NAFE 2016 Top Companies for Executive Women award from Betty Spence, president of the National Association for Female Executives and Entrepreneurs, and Subha Barry, vice president and general manager of Working Mother Media.
Spence participated in a roundtable discussion and accepted the award for Bon Secours Virginia at the Working Mother event, held March 17 in New York. The award, which Bon Secours has won since 2006, measures and rewards companies committed to advancing women in their organization.
