Walk This Way ---  and You Could be
a Winner!

October is a beautiful time of year to be outside, enjoying the fresh air and walking. In support of your physical well-being, consider taking part in Walktober by walking for 30 minutes or 10,000 steps a day. Studies have shown that walking for 30 minutes a day can reduce your risk for high blood pressure, high cholesterol, osteoporosis and type II diabetes.

You could win! This year, the winner of our prize drawing will have a $500 donation made on their behalf to an eligible local charity.

How do I win?

Keep track of your steps at BonSecoursWellness.com under the Pedometer Log. The more steps you log, the better your chance of winning.

Are you on the Bon Secours Medical Plan? By taking part in Walktober and logging your steps, you will be well on your way to earning your $300 Healthy Habits Incentive.

In its simplest form, Mindful Eating is paying attention to what you put in your mouth. It is listening to the advice our mothers gave us: "Slow down. Sit at the table. Give thanks. Enjoy your meal."

If you would like to learn more about Mindful Eating, the Employee Assistance Program is offering a new webinar, "Building Resiliency Through Your Relationship with Food," at noon, Wednesday, Nov. 12. Learn more in this flier. Register at BonSecoursWellness.com.
