Looking for Volunteers

Want to bring a smile to child's face? Bon Secours Richmond Hope Therapy needs 100 volunteers to help with iCan Bike, a camp for children with special needs, Aug. 10-14 at the University of Richmond.
During the week, campers will learn to ride regular bicycles --- an activity that will help improve their confidence, their self-esteem, their social interactions with peers, and their physical fitness.
All you need is a decent pair of sneakers, a positive attitude and a willingness to help change the life of a very special child.
For more information please contact Sarah Ann Jennings or visit www.icanshine.org.

ICD-10 Training Continues

On Oct. 1, Bon Secours Virginia --- and all U.S. health care systems --- will implement a new system for diagnosis and procedure documentation, called the International Classification of Diseases, 10th Revision, or ICD-10. Employees across our health system have been preparing to meet this challenge.
"It may sound like an easy thing to do, but it's a tall order to ensure that everybody's documentation is of a high level of integrity. For the first time, what's getting coded corresponds to quality metrics and best practices in hospitals. This data is used to determine best practices so that we can provide our patients better care. We've got to get it right for our patients."
