Operation Homefront: Employees Shower Military Families with Baby Gifts
Bon Secours Virginia continues to be an avid supporter of the U.S. military. A recent event showered service families with care.
The Bon Secours Richmond Love and Learn team & Patriot Committee partnered with Operation Homefront to support its Star Spangled Baby Shower. Multiple collection points were set up covering nine separate locations: Innsbrook Love and Learn Family Center, St. Francis Labor and Delivery, three RVA Child care centers and four buildings on the Windsor campus: Bon Secours Memorial College of Nursing, BSHSI Information Services Support, ConnectCare, Internal Audit and Shared Services.
| Bon Secours Virginia has hired 137 veterans across the system so far this fiscal year. |
Committee members and Bon Secours employees generously donated items for welcoming a new baby. So many items were collected, the car that was planned to transport the donations had to be traded for a truck!
Operation Homefront, which provides emergency and financial assistance to military families and wounded warriors, held its baby shower for local military families on May 2. Bon Secours' donations were greatly appreciated, as noted in these comments from the families:
 | "I had an amazing time. Thank you so much for all the gifts. They are a great help to our family." | | "Thank you so much. We appreciate everything. It was a beautiful event." | | "I had an awesome time and am so thankful for everything." |
Thank you to all Bon Secours Richmond employees who participated in this special event to support local military families.
