Power Up! Wellness Incentives 101

You have still have time to complete all three Wellness Incentives and get $900 in a Health Reimbursement Account. You must complete all requirements by Aug. 31.

green bulletHealthy Weight Incentive ---  $300. Pick one:
Maintain or reach a healthy BMI of 27.50 or less.Power Up
Complete the Master of Exercise component by recording 10 of your exercise or workout sessions for three months on BonSecourswellness.com on your individualized web page. You will need to record each activity within a week of its occurrence; after a week, that date will no longer be available.
Employees who signed up for Phone Health Coaching by Feb. 1 and complete the program may use this component to complete the Healthy Weight Incentive.
green bulletHealthy Habits Incentive ---  $300. To earn this, stop using tobacco, complete 75 Daily Challenges, complete a designated number of coaching sessions in the Aetna ActiveHealth Chronic Disease Management Program OR track 500,000 steps.
green bulletPersonal Health Assessment (PHA) Incentive ---  $300. Be sure to complete both the in-person health screening and the Online Wellness Profile.
Remember that you must be on a Bon Secours Medical Plan to earn Incentives.

Your Online Wellness Profile:
A Step-by-Step Guide

green bulletGo to BonSecourswellness.com.
green bulletLog in. Your ID will be your five-digit Lawson (Payroll) number. If this is your first time logging in, click on the "Log in Information" link at the bottom right-hand corner of the page.
green bulletComplete your Wellness Profile. Answer the questions to the best of your knowledge. The profile must be completed between April 1 and Aug. 31 to be eligible for the $300 Wellness Incentive.
green bulletReceive results. Once you complete the Wellness Profile, you will receive a summary report that outlines your health risks. Click on each category to view details and recommendations. You can also print a Physician's Report Form from your home page on BonSecourswellness.com, in the Discovery section, under Forms, Documents, and Reports.

Celebrate Physical Fitness and Sports Month by logging in your activity on BonSecourswellness.com.

If you're working toward a Wellness Incentive, remember that you must log your activity within seven days. Also, if you want to complete the Master of Exercise component for the Healthy Weight Incentive, you'll need to start no later than June. That's because you must log exercise in three different months.

All Wellness Incentives must be complete by Aug. 31.

Bon Secours In Motion Summer
Camps Registration Opens

Bon Secours In Motion Physical Therapy and Sports Performance has opened registration for its summer camps, offered at Bon Secours In Motion locations in Virginia Beach, Hampton and Chesapeake. The six-week summer camps run from June 23 through July 30. The deadline to sign up is June 1.

ANCHOR2How are You Feeling? Take a Breath

The greatest tool in emotional regulation is our breath. The average person breathes 15-16 times per minute. We have 15-16 times a minute to either calm or agitate our nervous system, depending on the quality of the breath. It can be that basic.

Breathing tip: Think of the breath as three parts ---  lower abdomen, middle abdomen and chest. Inhale and fill the lower abdomen (belly expands out), then to the middle abdomen and then to chest. Exhale from chest, middle abdomen and lower abdomen (belly deflates). This can feel artificial at first but with regular practice, it will improve the quality of our breath.
