New App Lets ER Know You're Coming
Patients can alert the Emergency Department when they're on the way in, thanks to iTriage, a free health care app. This can result in shorter wait times at the Bon Secours Health Center at Harbour View and Bon Secours St. Francis Watkins Centre.
"iTriage allows the receiving facility to be prepared and expedite care to help provide the best patient experience possible," said Kevin Sheppard, vice president of Ambulatory Services for Bon Secours Virginia. "Bon Secours Virginia recently launched iTriage at its first urgent care center, Good Health Express, and in only three months, approximately 1,000 patients used it."
"iTriage allows the receiving facility to be prepared and expedite care ..."

Patients fill out some basic information through the app, then see the registrar as soon as they arrive at the emergency department. By submitting this information early, patients have a higher place in the queue to see a physician. Learn more.
