Rock the Run
Bon Secours Sports Medicine is the official medical sponsor of one of Virginia Beach's signature sports and fitness events, the Shamrock Marathon 2015. Bon Secours physicians Ernesto Luciano-Perez, Jason McHugh and Jocelyn Ricasa serve as medical directors.
The March 20-22 event also includes an 8K and half-marathon as well as a two-day sports and fitness expo for all participants. Dr. Luciano-Perez will be a featured speaker at the expo, which draws about 70,000 people each year.

PHA Profile Goes Online in April
Beginning April 1, you can log on to bonsecourswellness.com to complete the online wellness profile for your Personal Health Assessment. The second part of the PHA, the in-person biometric screening, will be available in May and June.
The PHA provides an important snapshot of your health. Use it to compare to last year and set a benchmark for the future.
You can earn $300 in a Health Reimbursement Account for completing the PHA if you are on a Bon Secours Medical Plan.

Dorothy "Dee" Lee, practice supervisor for Blackstone Family Practice, began smoking when she was 15. Though she tried to stop many times, she thought her addiction was insurmountable.
But her 7-year-old daughter wouldn't quit encouraging her.

 Simply Fresh is Rolling to a Bon Secours Location Near You St. Mary's employees last week had their first taste of Simply Fresh, an exciting collaborative education series exclusively for Bon Secours employees. The event included interactive food demonstrations, resource sharing, tips and recipes to assist employees in planning and preparing healthy, delicious and affordable meals at home. The series will travel to all Bon Secours Virginia facilities via Class-A-Roll, our Bon Secours mobile learning kitchen. Class-A-Roll dietitians will support nutrition and cooking education, and Morrison's executive chefs will lead the demonstrations, which will focus on quick prep and tons of flavor.
