FiercePharma's list of the 10 best selling cancer drugs in 2013 is topped by Genentech's aging biologics:Rituxan, Avastin, and Herceptin. But the list includes newcomers such as Zytega, a $1.7 billion prostate cancer drug marketed by Johnson & Johnson. BIOLASE's Chief Dr. Alexander Arrow Joins the SoCalBio Board of Directors
During their meeting on May 14, SoCalBio Board Members voted unanimously to add Dr. Arrow (photo right), president of BIOLASE, an Irvine-based maker of laser devices for dental and surgical applications, to the Board. Prior to Biolase, Dr. Arrow was the Chief Medical and Strategic Officer of Circuit Therapeutics, Inc. from 2012 until 2013. From 2007 through 2012, he was the Chief Financial Officer and Medical Director of Arstasis, Inc., a 115-employee cardiology device manufacturer. From 2002 until 2007, Dr. Arrow headed medical technology equity research at the global investment bank Lazard, where he provided research coverage on Biolase, among other companies. From 1999 through 2001 Dr. Arrow served as Chief Financial Officer of The Patent & License Exchange, Inc.
