Valencia, Calif.-Based MannKind Gets the Nod from the FDA Advisory Panel
FDA Delays MannKind's  PDUFA Date to July 15

On April 1st, FDA advisers recommended approval of MannKind Corp's inhaled insulin called Afrezza. The advisory committee said Afrezza could help patients, especially those wary of, or cannot use needles to deliver insulin. On April 7, FDA officials delayed a decision on MannKind's experimental diabetes inhalant for three months on Monday, sending shares of the drug company down close to 11%. The expected three-month delay was intended to provide FDA reviewers with ample time to go over the data submitted by MannKind. The FDA historically follows the recommendations of its third-party committees... Amgen and Glaxo Terminate Prolia Collaboration

Zacks reported that , according to the termination agreement, "Glaxo will be relieved of all commercial activities in all the countries covered by it under the 2009 agreement, except for Australia, by the end of this year. Amgen will regain rights to Prolia in these countries. In exchange, Amgen will make an initial payment and specific milestone payments of $275 million over the transition period. Additionally, Amgen will reimburse costs of up to $15 million incurred by Glaxo during this transition period" ... Read more
