Here is a pic from Ryan who fishes with Kenny Sharp.  These guys have been doing pretty good while fishing the Napa River over the last couple weeks.  They have been flying through  the Sturgeon tags!  They had back to back keepers on the last two trips that we heard about.  They have been using grass shrimp as bait and this is a great sign that the Sturgeon bite is starting to turn on.  If targeting Sturgeon it looks to me like Napa would be your best bet!

Danny "Fish Taco" Sinkay

landed this 20" while working today.  Pile worm was the ticket and we recommend fishing the shore side right up to the weeds durring any high tide (if trying to target Bass)  The fish seem to patrol the weeds chasing all the Bullheads and Mudsuckers that look to the weeds for safety.  Most the fish he catches out here are caught this way.

Brad's Corner
Bradley Eugene Hood III is calling Bass season quits to pursue Duck Hunting.  He finished the season with only a lil 8 incher and when Duck season is over you can count on him showing back up with some Sturgeon photos.
Other Fishing Reports!
Sinkay's Marketing Solutions recently started doing the fishing reports a local charter boat  "The SoleMan".  If you would like to get info on what they have been catching as well as coupons for your next trip please sign up the reports:

Fishing Update
  • Don't let the Football games stop you from fishing on Sundays!  You can pull up Veetle.com on your smart phone or CPU and stream games live.  Veetle is a website that streams TV channels.  If you have Direct TV download their App or The Website itself to your phone and watch games that way.  I am speaking from experience here folks this is what I do to not miss my team or any game when I have an itching to go fishing.
  • Petaluma River: The bite is wide open, like Captain Joel's Zipper at the strip club (That is at least if your name isn't Brad Hood, who only had an 8.5inch Bass today).  Meanwhile I had a 20" on the stringer by 8am this morning.  The fishing up river today was slower and if fishing this system fish the lower Petaluma River for now.  The shore fishing has been decent as well.
  • Napa River: Sturgeon are starting to be caught (see pics below).   Get some Grass Shrimp and fish the lower Napa River or Napa Slough.  Bass fishing has been good in this system as well and we recommend to fish this river right now as your best bet.
  • San Pablo Bay Shark bite is off the hook and the Sturgeon are still jumping! trolling on the top of the tide has brought in Bass near Point Pinole and rodeo.  The pumphouse has been hot with Midshipmen and Squid for Leopards and 7 Gils.
  • Bait: Ghost Shrimp will be in toward the beginning of October.  For now we are stocked up with plenty of Grass, Pile Worms, Bullheads and even a supply of Mudzillas!
  • Dave Hurley provides the best detailed fishing report for the greater Bay Area.  Check it out and sign up: The Hurley Chronicles
  • Low Tides: We recommend that you do not try to boat into our slough right now unless it is high tide.  The mud is pretty thick and if you can just stop by before you launch.  We hate to see you guys mess up your engine kicking up mud on the bottom of a tide.  Until they dredge you gotta drive here before you launch.

Here is Deva Sherman and a couple of his recent fish caught recently.  The first is of his 28lb Tuna caught near pioneer sea mount.  The second is a 15lb Halibut caught on their Salmon trip.  They also had 3 Salmon 16-20lbs.

Dee was fishing while working early this week and landed this 24.5 inch Bass:  There have been some nice keepers caught here near Port Sonoma these last few weeks.
