Steve Ameral and his wife Wanda fished last weekend as well as this weekend. Here are just a few of the fish they caught: 42" Leopard Shark (Port Sonoma)
Up river Wanda was killing em while trolling the Petaluma River. With these slower tides the water has been really clear and great for casting jigs or trolling around. Soon after she also lander this here 24". nice work! (Brad Hood not pictured)
Sinkay's Marketing Solutions recently started doing the fishing reports a local charter boat "The SoleMan". If you would like to get info on what they have been catching as well as coupons for your next trip please sign up the reports:

Captain Joel's Fishing Minute Ep. 22
Fishing Update
Petaluma River: Bullhead bite is still the best thing going! Just today one of our shore customers limited out with two 27" in a matter of 1hr. Danny released one here at the shop also caught on a bullhead. Bradley Eugene Hood fished up river and caught 6 Stipers (20-23") and even a Mud Marlin. Steve and his wife caught a couple of nice keepers as well (see pics below). All caught today! I'm just saying the fishing is so good I bet even Captain Joel can catch one!!! Sturgeon have been seen in the river rolling and jumping, but we don't have many reports of them biting yet.
Napa River: We had one report of a customer catching two 10lb Stripers on Bullheads in the Napa River this week.
San Pablo Bay: Sturgeon at China camp? Two Sturgeon were reported by a customer. One was 65" and another was in the 30" range. Shore fishing with Grass Shrimp has been the ticket.
Bait: Stocked up on Bullheads, Grass and Pile Worms.
Dave Hurley provides the best detailed fishing report for the greater Bay Area. Check it out and sign up:The Hurley Chronicles
Low Tides: We recommend that you do not try to boat into our slough right now unless it is high tide. The mud is pretty thick and if you can just stop by before you launch. We hate to see you guys mess up your engine kicking up mud on the bottom of a tide. Until they dredge you gotta drive here before you launch.
D. Sherman fished off the coast of Fort Bragg last weekend and brought in this nice Tuna. Looks like he is playing him like a guitar! Phet landed these keepers not but 50 yards from the shop down here at Port Sonoma. 18" and 22" respectively.
Fishing Spots
You don't have to go far to catch fish. The fishing near Port Sonoma has been good and with Sturgeon season about to start it will make a nice transition. Fishing up River? Try out Mira Monte, try any spot in the slough or just fish the mouth. The Bass bite has been good fishing all baits.
