Here is Valerie with her nice Bat Ray caught off the dock here at the shop not too long ago.
Apparently this thing put up a pretty good fight and almost spooled her. Special Thanks to Rich Mc Krager for working the net for her!
Fast Eddie shown here with his limits of Striped Bass. He just hammered em on Bullheads while fishing here near Port Sonoma. WWHhhoooooo DDDooogggggggyyyyy! How about this for a ling cod? Bear went off the coast with a couple of friends and they brought in this 30 pounder!
Brad's Corner
Bradley Eugene Hood III is back! Here he is with his limit of Salmon off the coast just this morning. Rumor has it he caught them on some famous Loch Lommond Mud Shrimp.

Fishing Update
Petaluma River: Lost a 30" at the dock just this morning on a Bullhead while trying to net it. Seriously people you don't have to be an expert to catch a nice bass out here right now. Use the right set up (see video above) and grab some live bait. No boat needed either. The shore here on the Petaluma River has produced limits. Walk out on the train tracks if needed, either way get at it before it is too late.
Napa River: Sturgeon bite has started to turn on in the Napa river. We will keep you posted on the status and consistency of the bite but we had reports of at least two limits. Trolling rattle traps up river has yielded limits as recent as yesterday. (same is working well on the Petaluma River). Bullheads also have brought in nice sized keepers even a 20+ pound fish.
San Pablo Bay: Sturgeon have been jumping and rolling but the bite is yet to turn on. Bass have been caught from shore at China Camp on live Grass this week.
Bait: Stocked up on everything! Don't forget to get your bucket/Aerator combo to help keep your bait alive.
Dave Hurley provides the best detailed fishing report for the greater Bay Area. Check it out and sign up:The Hurley Chronicles
Low Tides: We recommend that you do not try to boat into our slough right now unless it is high tide. The mud is pretty thick and if you can just stop by before you launch. We hate to see you guys mess up your engine kicking up mud on the bottom of a tide. Until they dredge you gotta drive here before you launch.
Here is Robert Berglund who fished off the Beach in the surf near the SF Bay. He used Leonard's Bait & Tackles famous Grass Shrimp and the locals thought he was crazy until he brought in this nice keeper. Here is a picture of Luis and his two keepers; 27" and 18" caught at China camp on Grass Shrimp. His dad also caught a 20". Nice catch Luis! Well ain't that just the cutest thing? Capt. Joel was up in Lake Sonoma this week with Valerie when he landed this whopper on a mini crawler.
