| Fishing Update |
- Bait: There has been limited Grass Shrimp, we are not out but it is a day to day situation. We have plenty of Pile Worms as well as Mid-Shipmen. We are stocked up with frozen baits as well. The Perch bite is great out in Bodega and other coastal areas with Grass Shrimp.
- Napa River: Bass bite is good in this river system! The bass bite seems to have never slowed down and it looks to be a great summer for Bass trolling in this area. Sturgeon are still being caught and this river still is one of your best bets. There have been a few rays reported as well. As we said last week there is a good boat launch at Cuttings Wharf as well as some great shore fishing. Click here for a map!
- Petaluma River: Bat Rays, Bass and a few Sturgeon. We had a few customers come back this weekend because they had so much fun landing bat ray after bat ray last weekend here in the river. There has been great fishing from shore near Port Sonoma on the Peninsula parallel to the river. Click here for a map!
- San Pablo Bay: It's been windy and few fish have been reported to us. There are still the usual suspects in the area: Bass, Sturgeon, Rays and Sharks. Threre are a few Halibut being caught on the east and south sides of the Bay as well.
- Sonoma Creek: Here is a map to Sonoma Creek which happens to be a great spot to fish from shore in our area for Bass and Sturgeon: Click here for a map!
- We recommend that you do not try to boat into our slough right now. The mud is pretty thick and if you can just stop by before you launch. We hate to see you guys mess up your engine kicking up mud on the bottom of a tide. Until they dredge you gotta drive here before you launch.

Steve Ameral is shown here with his 6lb Bass as well as a picture of the Bat Ray they caught while fishing the Napa River last weekend. Shrimp was the bait of choice and the bite was good.
