Dan Smith and his buddy Rick Fished up river near the Horse Ranch last Saturday. They caught several big Bat Rays in addition to Schoolie Stripers.  They did have two big Sturgeon roll next to there boat and from what we hear the bite is still on for those as well.

We pride ourselves with having the freshest bait on the bay.  As the only bait shop on the bay with their own shrimp boat we can live up to that claim.  We are open 365 days a year at 6:30am.  Come on down and say hi to a friendly face.

• GRASS SHRIMP:  That's right we have it! The Shrimping seems to have turned around for us near Port Sonoma and Shrimping at night means less wind.  We will be one of the few if not the only shop on the Bay with Live Grass this week.  

• Napa River:  You will primarily catch Bass and Sturgeon in the river.  The Rays have not moved in this system yet.  We recommend fishing with Grass Shrimp, Pile Worms or EEL right now.  There is a good boat launch at Cuttings Wharf as well as some great shore fishing.  Click here for a map!  
• Petaluma River:   Bass, Sturgeon and Bat Rays... The fishing is good with tons of action!  Great time to bring the kids out fishing.  You will be guaranteed action but you wont know what is on your line until you get it up to the surface.  The Sturgeon are rolling all over our river system.  Get on the water and catch some fish.    
• San Pablo Bay:  Shark, Ray, Bass and Sturgeon and even a few Halibut.  The afternoons have been very windy and if you plan on fishing here start driving here when it is still dark.   
• We recommend that you do not try to boat into our slough right now.  The mud is pretty thick and if you can just stop by before you launch.  We hate to see you guys mess up your engine kicking up mud on the bottom of a tide.  Until they dredge you gotta drive here before you launch.
