| Fishing Update |
- Napa River: Still a good bet for Bass and Sturgeon. One of our regular customers Tony Harrah fished here last week with good results. He said that they "bought 2lb of Grass Shrimp and 2 doz. Pile Worms. The fishing was great in the morning outgoing tide. After that bite just stopped. So first thing when we got to Napa river Marker 13 2 striper's one was 16in and 14in. we moved from there to marker 11 missed 2 pumps. Moved to Marker 9 And I hooked into what would have been my biggest sturgeon ever. The head was about 15 in round it came out of the water and started to roll and then ran and never stopped. Broke my 80lb braided line."
- Petaluma River: The Mud Marlins have moved in! (Bat Rays) but that leads to lots of fun action especially if you have young kids and want them to catch fish and have a good fight on the line. There still are sturgeon here as well Jesse fished up river with Grass Shrimp and had an over-sized and an under-sized Sturgeon yesterday.
- San Pablo Bay: Sharks, Rays, Sturgeon, Bass, Halibut and wind have all been reported on the bay. Its that time f year where you have no idea what is going to hit on your bait and it is hard to pinpoint what type of fish bite that was.
- Bait: Grass supply is back in stock, and the Ghost shrimp is still pending. Pile worms are in abundance and we are stocked up on frozen baits thanks to Big Red Worm Co. Bullheads are also hard to come by. We have plenty of nice big Midshipmen for Shark fishing. We also have the tray pack items if you are going Salmon fishing you can pick those up here before hand and as always we appreciate you shopping local.
- We recommend that you do not try to boat into our slough right now. The mud is pretty thick and if you can just stop by before you launch. We hate to see you guys mess up your engine kicking up mud on the bottom of a tide. Until they dredge you gotta drive here before you launch.
