Here is Vince Passetti and his brother Tony Passetti of Sonoma showing off their 69" oversized Sturgeon landed in Dutchman Slough! They thanked us for the coupon and swear by the 'Trifecta Combo' (Ghost, Grass and Pile) Thanks again guys! Here is Tim Butterworth and his 28.5 inch Bass caught up river on a famous Port Sonoma bullhead. They also caught a 25", and two 23's. The Bass bite has been strong in our river. Here is Evan Drew with his 28" bass caught on a Bullhead while fishing the south side of the train tracks with Jay Bowman last week... Here is Doug Shotwell and his 52" Stugi caught out in front of Blackpoint last week on of all things, a Bullhead!!! Did i mention he only had one arm? It is rare to catch em' on a Bullhead but i'm sure it was fun. Thanks again Jay for the photos.

We pride ourselves with having the freshest bait on the bay. As the only bait shop on the bay with their own shrimp boat we can live up to that claim. We are open 365 days a year at 6:30am. Come on down and say hi to a friendly face.

Fishing Update |
Derby Pig Roast 12pm-3pm April 29th Here at Leonard's!
Come on down, bring your friends and family for our derby finale. Horse shoes, BBQ, good food and people. Prizes will be handed out at this time.
- ***Napa River***: Sturgeon bite is smoking! Word of limits are still coming in and this area is probably your best bet for action. Fish are being caught from Cuttings Warf all the way down toward Vallejo!
- Petaluma River: Strong Bass bite up river. Limits have been reported and the Sturgeon are still in the area (see pics below). Bullheads seem to have been the ticket along with Grass Shrimp.
- San Pablo Bay: Few Bass have been caught trolling at the top of the tide and as far as bait fishing has been decent with shrimp while anchored.
- Sonoma Creek: Stripper bite is good as well as a few sturgeon. Most fish have been reported off shore under 37.
- Bait: We have plenty of Ghost and Grass shrimp. Bullheads have been tough to come by but hopefully that will change. The wind seems to have died down enough to where the boats are back working the bottom for bait.
- Be careful coming into our slough at low tide. The mud is pretty thick and if you can just stop by before you launch. We would hate to see you guys mess up your engine kicking up mud on the bottom of a tide.
We have a new Facebook page so make sure to 'like us' for updates, fish pics and more. Also please forward these emails to your friends that fish and encourage them to sign up. Your support is appreciated! Special thanks to "Atomic Casino Parties" for donating a free poker night casino party. Includes Table, chairs, chips and all! We will have a free drawing on Sunday for those that show up for the BBQ. See their website below:

CAPTAIN JOEL'S FISHING MINUTE:
Episode 8: How to throw a party!
| Captain Joel's Fishing Minute Ep 8. |
John Lowery and Layton saltscaver of Rohnert Park landed these 56" and 63" Sturgeon near Cuttings Warf on the Napa River last weekend on Grass and Ghost shrimp! Nice picture and even nicer catch...
Here is Jenny Walker and her 48" Sturgeon that she caught fishing the Napa River a week and a half ago. This was her first Sturgeon, nice catch Jenny!

Jason Lange took our advise last Saturday and fished the Napa River. Here is the pic of his 72" and he also released a couple undersized ones as well. That's a big fish to pull in by yourself...
