VACATION WITH CHRISTIAN PURPOSE:
REGISTER FOR CHARLESTON, SC REVOLUTIONARY WAR TOUR
History is "His story." Sadly, most of us learned history through the prism of secular teachers and secular textbooks. As a result, we didn't learn the truth at all.
No matter what time period or what country you might study, it's essential to learn how God and God's people played a role. That's why I want to urge you to seriously consider taking your family on the Christian-based War for Independence History Tour in historic Charleston, South Carolina between Sunday, April 29 and Friday, May 4, 2012.
I, Adam McManus, strongly urge that you take the time to investigate this amazing opportunity for you and your family to learn straight from the Christian historians who have researched the primary documents of the time.
Sign up BEFORE December 31st, and get a whopping 25% discount off the price of admission. Details below in action steps).
Watch this helpful 3-minute video below which summarizes the vision for your vacation with a Christian and historical purpose.
Bill Potter and Marshall Foster are top-shelf Christian historians who will give you a providential perspective on the lesser well known battles waged in the South for American liberty from England.
Tour the battlefield where thousands died to gain the freedoms that we enjoy today. See the sights and absorb the sounds.
Feast in the same hall that saw the unfolding of independence and entertained George Washington. Visit dank cellars where fervent patriots languished. Kayak to the isolated swampy island that was home to the "Swamp Fox" and his wily band.
These are experiences that you will share with your children's children in years to come.

NY TIMES TO SELL REGIONAL NEWSPAPERS FOR $143 MILLIONThe New York Times Co said it will sell 16 regional newspapers spread across the U.S. Southeast and California to Halifax Media Holdings for $143 million in cash as it looks to cut costs and focus on its most important papers and their websites.

MALKIN: THE YEAR IN OBAMA SCANDALS -- AND SCANDAL DENIERSWith 2011 drawing to a close, it is time to account. As an early-and-often chronicler of Chicago-on-the-Potomac, I am amazed at the stubborn and clingy persistence of President Barack Obama's snowblowers in the media. See no scandal, hear no scandal, speak no scandal.
Dartmouth College professor Brendan Nyhan asserted in May - while Operation Fast and Furious subpoenas were flying on Capitol Hill - that "one of the least remarked upon aspects of the Obama presidency has been the lack of scandals." Conveniently, he defines scandal as a "widespread elite perception of wrongdoing."

JACK ABRAMOFF SLAPS PAPER FOR IGNORING CONGRESS' WEALTH AT TAXPAYER EXPENSEThe Washington Post - for years the bête noir of conservatives - has been trying to reverse its plunging profitability with a new slogan: "If you don't get it, you don't get it." However, it seems that the only ones who "don't get it" work at the Post.
This week, the Post features its latest effort on behalf of income redistribution and socialism, entitled "Growing wealth widens distance between lawmakers and constituents." The gist of the piece is that congressmen who come to Congress with personal wealth are more likely to oppress the masses than those hailing from more honorable poverty. The greatest offenders, of course, are the more recently elected prosperous Republicans. The inference in this article, along with forests-worth of other Post pabulum, is that these new, rich Philistines have upset the bipartisan entente which existed in our nation's capital for decades, causing the advent of a stygian nightmare called "divisiveness."

RARE WORLD WAR II PLANE SPOTTED IN OCEAN OFF FLORIDA COASTRandy Jordan was just following the fish.
Diving at a depth of about 200 feet four miles off Jupiter Tuesday, the owner of Emerald Charters wasn't expecting to see much more than sand and seafood.
But the deep waters were hiding something: the remains of a mostly intact aircraft upside down on the ocean floor.
Jordan says experts shown video and photos of the craft identified it as a WWII-era Curtiss Helldiver SB2C.
"It's a very rare airplane," said Jordan. "There may be only one flying now."
Local WWII aircraft buff Kevin Knebel, who has seen video of the dive site, said it wasn't surprising that a WWII plane would be found off Florida - "planes are scattered up and down our coastline" - but it is unusual that one would be unidentified, and that it appears to be a Curtiss Helldiver.

At an elementary school in Smyrna, Tenn., student Nicholas Taylor, 10, has been ordered to spend lunches for the rest of the semester at the lunchroom's "silent table" because he allegedly picked up a piece of pizza and waved it around like a gun.
According to a WKRN television report, school officials say Taylor "threatened" other students "with a piece of pizza with bites out of it so it looked like a gun."

RABBIS GET BIBLICAL ON SAME-SEX LOVIN': CONFRONT OBAMAIn a stunning formal statement that directly confronts Barack Obama's presidency-long campaign to promote and normalize homosexuality, a coalition of Orthodox rabbis and respected mental-health professionals says being "gay" is a behavior that can be changed and healed with therapy, if the person has the desire.
"The concept that G-d created a human being who is unable to find happiness in a loving relationship unless he violates a biblical prohibition is neither plausible nor acceptable," says the document, titled "Declaration on the Torah Approach to Homosexuality."

GIRL SCOUTS BOOK REFERS READERS TO LIBERAL GROUP MEDIA MATTERS TO CLEAR UP 'MEDIA MISINFORMATION'In 2010, the Girl Scouts of the USA published a book called "MEdia." The publication, designed for girls in grades six through eight, is a guide that apparently offers insight into how young people should process and understand the media messages surrounding them.
Considering the pervasive nature of popular media, this seems like a viable tool. However, there's a problem - the book refers young readers to Media Matters for America as one of the primary sources for debunking lies and deceit.

INTERNET CENSOR BILL WOULD TARGET POLITICAL WEBSITESThe conservative and liberal blogospheres are unifying behind opposition to Congress's Stop Online Piracy Act, with right-leaning bloggers arguing their very existence could be wiped out if the anti-piracy bill passes.
