Tugboat Gallery to Celebrate One Year Anniversary at Current Downtown Location
Tugboat Gallery is
excited to present "That'll Leave a Mark" featuring the drawings of David
Harvey and Marlene Mueller. Both artists use drawing as their main
medium but in two strikingly different manners.
Marlene Mueller
states, "As witness to a dramatic interlude with nature, I observed the
transformation of solid matter into ash where the elements of flame, steam,
water and smoke provided the foundation of my study."
David Harvey uses personal
symbols and marks to recreate the monumental scale and space of the Desert
Southwest.
The opening reception
will be held on First Friday April 3rd from 7-10 pm; this will also mark
the one year anniversary of Tugboat in its present location at 116 N. 14th Street. To celebrate this important occasion Tugboat is offering a collection of 13 hand-screened Tugboat Gallery posters from April 2008-April 2009 for only $100.
