Think Lincoln For the Holidays There's no place like downtown for the holidays.
The Downtown Lincoln Association would like to encourage residents to buy their gifts downtown this holiday season and simply remember to BUY LINCOLN FIRST. The Lincoln Convention
and Visitors Bureau (CVB) has created new event packages to attract
visitors to the Capitol City over the holiday season. And the CVB is
urging residents to "Think Lincoln for the Holidays" by inviting
friends and relatives to visit and enjoy City events, attractions,
restaurants and shopping. "If residents shift even 5 percent of
their purchases back to local vendors, it can make a big difference in
our City's economy," said Jeff Maul, CVB Executive director. For a complete listing of events as well as a wide variety of event-lodging packages go to www.lincoln.org. |
Holiday Lights on Display
: The Downtown Lincoln Association invites you to enjoy the sights of the holiday season. Tens of thousands of twinkling lights are on display as downtown Lincoln captures its very own winter wonderland. Be sure to bring friends and family to tour the luminous trail of nostalgia and celebration. The DLA maintenance crew as well as G&M Window spend around 1,950 hours during the holiday season delivering, re-sorting and putting up the displays. 2008 should be an especially exciting year as DLA has launched an ongoing Twelve Days of Christmas theme. The first three days of Christmas are on display this year at different spots downtown. View the Holiday Light Facts section to learn more.

A nuVibe Downtown
After 5 years of owning nuVibe on 70th and
Pioneers Boulevard, Natalie Bubak and partner Jenny Anderson decided to open
another store on 126 North 14th
street in the old Homers building. nuVibe's first store opened after
Bubak had a baby and wanted healthy eating options without the addition of
sugar and corn syrup.
After seeing the growth of their company with only smoothies
and coffee, nuVibe has also added twenty different types of gelato and sorbetto
along with soups and sandwiches. They
serve their gelato and sorbetto in scoops of two, three and four and have a
wide variety of different flavors from triple chocolate to raspberry
tiramisu. read on... Looking for discounts on various downtown retail and restaurant venues for the holiday season? Click here to see the deals.
