webWOC Nursing Education Program Summary
 
The webWOC Nursing Education Program is offered in partnership with the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, Minnesota. It is an ONLINE program offering education in Full, Dual or Specialty scopes of the Wound, Ostomy, Continence (WOC) Nursing Specialty. This specialty education and certification preparation is offered in a split option format providing learners with the flexibility to complete diadactic instruction online and then complete a clinical practicum off-site with an approved preceptor closer to the learners' home.
 
The webWOC Program has been accredited by the Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nursing  (WOCN) Society since 2001 and is the recognized leader in developing innovative, interactive, online distance learning courses in Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nursing.  Graduate-level credits and/or Continuing Education Hours are awarded following successful completion of the Program.  The faculty is academically and clinically prepared to guide learners into the profession of WOC nursing by leveraging advanced technology expertise so that even the beginning nurse computer user can fully participate in this experience.  Recent reports of outcomes from this Program are presented at national meetings and reside in the Poster Gallery on webwocnurse.com.
