Greetings!
Wow! Feels like summer here in South Carolina!
The garden boxes are so full of flowers and of good food that it is hard to imagine that so much is ready to eat so soon.
I am so grateful for my sweetheart, Viola, who loves that project such a great deal (as well as her chickens & ducks) that I am sure she would be out there 24/7 if she had enough sunlight and energy.
Yes, that and the two main bike rallies in Myrtle Beach have concluded, pretty much signifying the beginning of the tourist season. You would not believe the current controversy in our area brought about by these traditional Spring rallies (like our communities are so flush as to discourage 350,000+ bikers from visiting Myrtle Beach)! Or ARE we so flush?? Please read the ending article about CAFR...
You will notice a change of format in this issue of the OraMedia Newsletter. I hope that you like it. I have also added more links to companies I am affiliated with - if you visit and make a purchase, we will receive a percentage of that purchase, which, in turn, will help us pay the bills and (more or less) stay out of trouble. Many folks write and tell me how appreciative they are of the work done at the OraMedia site... If you feel this way, please express it by shopping our catalog and visiting and shopping our affiliates - or you can always make a straight contribution to help keep the work going! I will strive to bring you the best information which you can actually apply in your life.
After over a decade of wishing I had a good 'home test' for gum disease to offer the thousand who have inquired about it, we are offering a very simple and inexpensive procedure you can use on yourself and family which will indicate the presence of the disease. This is not new, but is very practical, and a procedure you can use time and again to gauge your progress toward a disease-fre e mouth.
Read on...
Sincerely,
Tom Cornwell

Knowledge... Testing for Periodontal Disease ...at Home
Why would anyone want to test themselves for periodontal disease? Obviously, if there was any pain you'd have something going on, right? WRONG. By the time there is any pain present, the disease has progressed quite a ways without your knowledge. At that point, you have a mess on your hands. That's number one. Secondly, if you decide to get busy with a more thorough hygiene regimen, wouldn't you want to be able to see how you are doing by comparing your results at specific intervals? Here is a simple method for doing just that... right in your bathroom. See for yourself. |

Gum Recession. What's Going on Here?
An awful lot of people write to me asking what they can do about gum recession, which is the action of the gum tissue shrinking and exposing more of the tooth's surface. To some it is a cosmetic issue. To others, it is an issue of discomfort or even pain - especially when introducing something cold into the mouth.
Dr. Nara has explained many times that he felt this situation occurs due to two factors: age and/or disease. The question is, what do we do about it?
If due to disease, we can certainly take measures to stop the progress of recession, including more thorough cleansing of the teeth - especially at the gum line as well as under the gum line. This will certainly require irrigation and a minor investment in a good oral irrigator.
The next measure would be the nutrients available for the gums themselves. These might include a good hyaluronic acid supplement, such as our Synthovial 7 Ha to augment the synthovial fluid which depletes from our bodies over time and is partly responsible for the moisturizing the skin, joints, vitreous humor and... gum tissue.
According to Dr. Earl L. Mindel, along with Vitamin C and Citrus Bioflavenoids (Vit. P), Coenzyme Q-10 is profoundly important to the health of the gingiva (gum tissue), connective tissue and the formation of collagen.
"In dental practice, the patient taking CoQ10 is not going to have an eye-popping experience right away with this supplement, since deficiencies can take weeks or months to resolve, but in tme, many patients (and their dentist and hygienist) will not diminished bleeding, reduced or absent inflammation, and reduced pocket depth, including reattachment - and those are just some of the oral health observations."*
These are a couple of items to add to your shopping list if you want to assist in your body's re-building of a healthy oral environment.

I'm not going to plant a tree. (I'm not going to run out and hug one either)
I want you to try our Nara Cleansing Powder for Teeth & Gums because you will feel great for using it (not feel all warm & fuzzy for buying it!). Nara Cleansing Powder is a simple formula of baking soda, Himalayan salt, Xylitol and natural flavoring. That's it. It is not only simple, but highly effective in keeping your teeth clean and the bacteria at bay. And clean teeth are necessary for keeping teeth from losing calcium and phosphorus your teeth need to keep the enamel hard, strong and healthy. Clean, Very Effective and Simple. That's it. That's Nara Cleansing Powder.

Your Money...
Is Taxation REALLY Necessary?
Finally, I would like to steer over to the subject of money. You know
how political candidates always promise not to raise taxes but always
seem to forget about those promises after they are elected? Funny how the the federal, state and
federal governments always seem to run out of money, eh? Did you know that your state and local governments may just be keeping 2 sets of books? Did you ever hear of the CAFR...? Get ready for the ride of your life. Tell me it just isn't so...!
