Great Glasswerk: Architectural Textured Glass by Stained Glass Windows
Everyday, Southern California-based Stained Glass Windows creates custom window work for a range of clients--from private residences, to commercial spaces. Keeping the thousand-year-old art of stained glasswork alive, owner Raeanon Schmid and her staff of artists prove with each project how stained glass windows are staying current and going well beyond church walls.
We take a closer look at a recent Stained Glass Windows installation wherein they provided clear architectural textured glass at a private residence in Chula Vista.
Fabrication Process: We created 18 stained glass pieces, sealed them each within two pieces of Glasswerks 1/8" clear tempered glass , removed the existing dual glazed units from their vinyl frames, then replaced them with stained glass triple glazed units.
Design Process: Aside from adding decorative glass elements to each room, the client also wanted more privacy without compromising the natural sunlight. Each stained glass panel is made to order, and with a library of designs and past projects, we've made the the design process quick and easy. In addition, our staff of artists can recreate any design, logo or idea, and can fit it into any current size opening a client requests.

Our CAD designprogram allows us to provide a full glass colored/textured mock up and make revisions if needed, for our clients to see and approve before we actually start construction.
Energy Efficiency: 
Glasswerks tempered glass combined with our state-of-the-art sealing and insulating methods allows us to create gorgeous stained glass windows that are both decorative and functional with today's window frames.
Fabrication Flexibility: We adpat to the nature of the build--We can (1) work with existing frames and provide sealed glass units; (2) create units which can be trimmed to fit a window sill; or (3) provide new windows altogether where we order exterior window frames with no glass then create the stained glass within tempered glass as a triple glazed unit to fit into the frames.
