GET READY! Are Umbrella Renewal Questionnaires a big part of your workflow? We know the answer is yes so we are introducing an enhanced process to make it better for you! Highlights were previously announced in our "Coming Soon!" e-blast sent on September 6. IMPORTANT DETAILS Start Date Beginning October 13, prefilled questionnaires will be online and the paper questionnaires discontinued for Umbrella policy effective dates of January 13, 2013 and later. Questionnaire Requirement Completed questionnaires will be required every other year, by using an odd/even system based on the day of the month on which the policy is effective. In odd years, like 2013, policies effective on odd dates will require a renewal questionnaire. As an example, January 13, 15, 17, 19 effective dates will require completed questionnaires.
Policies that do not require a completed questionnaire will renew as is, unless underwriting action is taken for another reason. For policies that do not require a completed questionnaire, it is increasingly important that you update exposure changes as soon as they occur.

Important Time Frames - Questionnaires will be created daily and available online - 92 days prior to renewal.
- Online indicator to flag questionnaires that have not been submitted - 70 days prior to renewal.
- Submit completed questionnaire by the "due date" - 50 days prior to renewal.
- For questionnaires not submitted by the "due date", a non-renewal will be processed.
- Questionnaires submitted electronically will remain on the report for 60 days after renewal for online viewing only.
Prefill and Electronic Submission To save you time and entry, prefilled questionnaires will provide a snapshot of the policy as it appears currently. You will be able to enter new or updated information required for renewal consideration before sending to your customer or Arbella. Just remember to electronically submit before the due date listed to avoid a non-renewal. New Status Field Three new statuses will display on the report: - "Not Submitted" - a completed questionnaire is required
- "Submitted" - a completed questionnaire was submitted electronically and will be reviewed by Underwriting
- "Received" - a completed questionnaire was received by Arbella via U.S. Mail and will be reviewed by Underwriting
