Prayer Partner Newsletter

Vol 7 - February, 2009

Greetings!

God is teaching me something about relying on Him. All too often, I have set aside the Prayer Partner Newsletter to work on a ministry activity I felt was more important.  This month, however, I didn't need to 'force' myself to prepare it, and that is a huge praise.

There's something else He's been teaching me.  A friend of mine has been in the hospital since October 31st. His family has posted an online journal to keep people up to date on his condition.  They have requested and received lots of prayer, and one common thread keeps popping up in their posts...thankfulness to the power of prayer.  Rarely have I heard anything about the power of the one they were hopefully praying to.

If you ever hear me being more thankful for your prayers, than the God who answers them, please feel free to point it out.  I want to rejoice in the power of God, even more than I rejoice in your commitment to pray for this ministry.

Sincerely in Christ,
Scott

Share the Savior:
Someone You Love Needs Him

Praise Report

We've met with the person we selected as a potential Administrative Manager.  She has declined our offer, yet I am thrilled with the outcome.  That may not sound much like a praise, but I was concerned about my reaction if she didn't say yes.  I feared being discouraged or frustrated, however God kept both from occurring.  In fact, though I would have been excited to have her on our team, I'm equally excited about what God might do next, as we start the process of looking for someone else.

Here are a few other events to thank our Father for:
  1. A personal friend, and subscriber to The Eleven Twelve Project, shared our ministry with a man who used to attend our church.  He is also interested in the ministry of evangelism, and we hope to get together soon.
  2. Five new subscribers have signed up to receive The Eleven Twelve Project since the last prayer newsletter.
  3. Two more people have joined us as partners in prayer
  4. We've reached a ministry milestone...100 people are now subscribing to The Eleven Twelve Project.

Prayer Requests

1.  Though thankful to be employed, I am working longer hours at my current employer than ever before.  This is making it difficult to maintain a balance in the other areas of my life, including my relationship with family and friends, a discipleship ministry my wife and I have with young married couples, and the work of Share the Savior.

Father, I need energy, discipline, and wisdom, for the circumstances you've allowed into my life at this time.

2.  We have been blessed with an opportunity to present three workshops at this year's BASS Convention, and there is not much time left to prepare for the workshops.  My work situation is certainly impacting my ability to get ready for this wonderful ministry opportunity.

Father, you know my concerns about being ready to minister at BASS.  Please provide me with all I need to equip those who attend our workshops, for the work of sharing the gospel.

Special Thank You!

This month, my special thanks for requesting our Prayer Newsletter goes to Yolanda and Raul.!  Thank you for your interest in praying for Share the Savior.  Your prayer partnership is greatly appreciated.

Volume 6 - Jan 2009

You don't know how much it means to me when I realize you, and others are praying for Share the Savior.  It usually causes tears to start rolling down my check.  Thank you for your time spent taking our needs to the Father.  He provides the answers, in His power and love, and we are the recipients of that grace!

Yours in Christ,
