Prayer Partner Newsletter
January 2008
Greetings!

Happy New Year!  It seems fitting that January 1st marks the introduction of our first monthly prayer newsletter.  Thank you for signing up to receive it.  Knowing that people are bringing our ministry's needs to the Father sustains us like nothing else could.

As the new year begins, may God draw you ever closer to himself and to your friends and family; those who know the Savior, and those who have not yet trusted Jesus for their salvation.

Sincerely in Christ,
Scott

Share the Savior:
Someone You Love Needs Him

Praise Report

As I write our initial Prayer Partner Newsletter, a growing desire to pray BIG is my first praise.  While reading a book by Howard Hendricks recently, God convicted me of a lifestyle of puny prayer.  And, although my first prayer after that was about as puny as they come, the desire to ask God for amazing things is growing.

Here are a few other events to thank the Father for:
  1. We will be ministering through four different workshops at the BASS Convention in March, 2008.
  2. The first two people signed up to receive our Prayer Newsletter (see my Special Thanks below)
  3. Since August, eleven new subscriptions to the Eleven Twelve Project were requested.
  4. Sixty-six people are now receiving our evangelism equipping newsletter.
  5. God enabled me to start praying for the salvation of fourteen new 'neighbors' last year.
  6. Our ministry's printer is working again, thanks to a new toner cartridge that we received for free.

Prayer Requests

1.  God has enabled me to work 10-12 hours per week on the ministry of Share the Savior and I am so very thankful for that gift.  He's also given me some organizational abilities that have helped make me effective during those hours.  However, there is much to be done and that brings me to the first prayer request.

Father, please direct a full-time Administrative Manager to Share the Savior!

This person will initially help with administrative duties but will be primarily responsible for recruiting and training 5-6 administrative staff members.

2.  We want our ministry to be credible to the church.  Since our primary exposure is through the Internet, we want to present a professional looking, user friendly website that attracts Christians and churches looking for help with evangelism.  Therefore...

Father, provide the resources to improve our website.

3.  Annual revenue of $125,000 would allow us to pay the full time Administrative Manager we're praying for, and enable me to move full time into ministry.  For that to happen in 2008, our revenue (less than $2,000 in 2007) would have to be more than 60 times greater.

Father, meet the financial needs of this ministry!

There is nothing wrong with making a general plea for financial support but I've always appreciated the faith demonstrated by ministries that don't make their needs public.  Therefore, our plan is to share the ministry's financial needs only with our Prayer Partners, and watch God provide in response to their prayers.

Wisdom Wanted

Several years before thinking of Share the Savior, I wrote down 10 ministry goals.  Most were evangelism related but only one characteristic was common to all of them: they could not possibly be achieved by me.  I'm going to introduce one goal per newsletter with a specific prayer request.  We need wisdom to determine which, if any, of these goals to incorporate into the mission of Share the Savior.  Here's the first goal.

Present 'Life issues Conferences' in the Bay Area

A Life Issues Conference would focus on a societal issue, such as hate crime, global warming, or child abuse, and be designed for people who don't call Jesus their Savior.  Though deliberately not religious, the conference, using the principals of our Ministering to the Silent Seminar, would offer each participant an opportunity to explore how the gospel relates to the issue being presented.

Special Thank You!

This month, my special thanks for requesting our Prayer Newsletter goes to Abraham and Liberty.  Thank you for your interest in praying for Share the Savior.  Your prayer partnership with our four board members is greatly appreciated.

Please help me pray BIG!  Ask God to give me a spirit of confidence in Him, and feel free to let me know how our prayer requests could be even BIGGER!

Yours in Christ,

Scott McIntyre
